Regarding Dazu

Post by Lexx Yovel » Mon Aug 17, 2009 8:31 pm

You've probably read the in-game mail, but I just wanted to explain what caused Dazu to leave.

Basically we were forming an Exar Kun group, 5 of us (me, Daiho, Tokkai, Ramd and Dazu) were RID's, while 3 others were Ihip' and 'Kendall' of -AI-, and another unguilded Imperial (forgot the name).

Well the instance started okay, despite the fact we only had 1 medic (we thought the unguilded Imperial was a medic when he was actually a jedi). First phase goes okay, so we progress relatively smoothly until the Open Hand of Hate. We die, and decide to get rebuffed. Dazu starts to get a bit "testy" though, complaining about how he hates PvE and how he used to do Exar Kun in like 20 minutes with IMPHL, etc, etc.

Well, we all get rebuffed quickly, except Dazu. He's in Restuss, where we think he's getting buffed. We finally start to get impatient, and Dazu says, "sorry, was doing some PvP." All of us were pretty upset him, I and others started scolding him as to how we're on a short instance timer, and we dont have time to PvP in a middle of an instance group. In addition, through no fault of us own, he has a super slow loading time, so it took us like 20 minutes if not longer to get back in the instance.

We try again, die, rebuff (with Dazu taking a little less time), and try again. We only have like 30 minutes left on timer, so on third try we decide to attack Open Hand of Hate without Dazu (he was still taking some time), and we actually managed to kill it.

Well on last room we organize everyone, attack, Dazu dies like right away, and he's like, "screw this, and pretty much decide to abandon the group by cloning." He then decides to leave RID several minutes later, saying he just wants to go solo for a while. We only had like 10 to 15 minutes left on timer, so we give on final, desparate go, but died.

It's a shame to see Dazu go (I guess), but who knows, maybe it was for the best. He wasn't making RID look good in front of Ihip' and 'Kendall'. The other unguilded Imperial was also interested in joining RID, but now I'm not sure if he'll apply after what happened.

Oh well, I just wanted to let everyone know the full story. As for dying on Exar, well no-biggie, it's just a game, but we ought to try it again. It seems the Open Hand of Hate was pretty buggy dealing out like 12k damage to people.

That's a shame. I honestly haven't had much experience with him, other than chatting with him for a bit today.

On the other hand, I tweaked my experience today to include melee ACR, so if you need me to, I can melee in EK in the future.

Looking over some old mails, I realized Dazu was 'Andrew'.
