Hey all,
I sent an in-game mail, but I'll write the full, more truthful version here.
Owebb has lately be displeased with some of the members within RID, and had been considering joining another Imperial guild called ISOC for at least a week. He raised his concerns during a private meeting between me and Arramen.
He considered giving RID a chance, but made the decision to finally leave. So I removed both his characters from RID.
He got kind of upset after tonights heroic run. We had 5 RID's, including 'Andrew'. 'Andrew' suggested we invite Geedo and Conosk to the group (non-RID's). We completed IG-88, but during the run, Geedo was being rude to Owebb, lecturing him on how to heal and how to be a medic.
After the run, we decided to run Tusken. While we were preparing, Geedo was being very rude to Marko. He asked Marko a question, and when Marko didnt respond right away, he said something like, "Are you incapable of answering a single question???"
Owebb had enough and left the group. Needless to say I told Geedo to quit being jerk to my members and so I removed him from the group. Yet Owebb felt that 'Andrew' was partly responsible for introducing Geedo and Conosk to the group. He also feels 'Andrew' isn't particularly supportive of group runs, going afk at times and the like.
So Owebb finally made the decision to leave RID after that incident. He also alluded to not liking the "bickering" which was going on earlier this morning in guild chat, but I don't have details on that. If Ahasya could fill us in on that, it'd be greatly appreciated.
This is indeed very disheartening news. Owebb will be missed, and I know that he has formed strong bonds with a number of our members, especially those on this Council. But it's important to look ahead.
I am an optimist. I feel RID has been improving considerably over the past week. Guild chat is more lively, more quality, active members are joining, and we are able to get more groups formed for certain things. We shouldn't let little mishaps impede upon our view for a better guild, but rather motivate us to continue solving the problems that face us.
In any case, his wife Ahasya will be remaining in RID, and taking his place as an Executive Councilwoman. She will help us with the weekly social events.
Be sure to read the in-game meeting recap if you were unable to attend.
Thanks!

Big loss .... it's done so let get over this but there's something I don't understand.
I understand that Owebb was insulted in the heroic but why is it Andrew's fault? I mean if I ask to get someone in a group, let's say Lexx lol, and he's a jerk, I'm not responsible for what you gonna say .... I think lol
I hope we will group with Owebb for activities and further event .... Ah I liked this guy ... too bad.

Agreed, I don't see how this is Andrew's fault.

I'm not sure Owebb had a very fond impression of 'Andrew' from the start. 'Andrew' does tend to associate with Geedo, but he himself is not as obnoxious. If he were, I'm sure he'd be in their guild and not ours. Conosk isn't really that bad either to be honost. He told Geedo to shut up when he was acting rudely.
Anyways, I'm not sure if this was the thing that caused Owebb to want to leave. I knew Owebb was going to leave, I just didn't know it would be this soon. I had assumed he'd be with us for at least another week or so to get the weekly events rolling.
I think it's just a simple matter of RID not being the right guild for him. ISOC is a smaller, more close knit guild than RID. This might suit Owebb better, especially seeing as he's an ex-military guy in real life.
RID is larger, so we can't expect everyone to get along -- instead we have to make compromises from time to time, and make our point heard when someone steps over the line. I certainly want us to become more close knit, which is definitely the purpose of the upcoming weekly events.
We'll see how it all works out.

As far as what happened that morning was basically the same thing that happened in group that night. He was explaining to -Marko- about different types of weapons that he was questioning about, and I can't quite remember who was saying things back to him, but they were contradicting what he was saying. So basically saying he didn't know what he was talking about. Then to only have it happen again in group, he just simply got tired of it all.
I apologize Lexx, as I said last night, with having to be the one to give the news to you. I see you had mentioned that you thought that he would be around for another week or so. He had until yesterday to make his decision though. The reason is that ISOC questioned him acouple nights ago and was giving him only two more days to give them his decision. They usually only give their new memebers 24hrs to decide if they are going to join or not. He had explained to them during his interview that he wanted two weeks to be fair to you and to be able to help get things going, but guess they didn't want to wait that long. I felt from the beginning that he was going to go for sure, but after things started picking up it seemed his mind was going to be to stay, until last night. That their and past situations triggered it off and he made his final choice.
It is a big loss to our guild to lose him, I agree. It will be different for me as well that is for sure. What is done is done now though and nothing can be done to change it. I do plan to stay with RID and have no intentions of leaving. There were times that I felt obligated to follow with him, but didn't feel comfortable doing so. So guess you are stuck with me, as long as that is ok with you all.
With him leaving, Lexx gave me his position on the council and was honored. I told him though as long as it was ok with the rest of council too. I will try my best to help you all to help RID to grow stronger. Over the past week here I have seen improvement with guild activity. Sure there are a few people that can get on ones nerves, but that is going to be expected. Me, personally I just don't let them get to me. Lexx, you have the right idea with the events and group activities scheduled each week. I believe that will help bring this guild together. I will work with you all to help get things on the right track and going in the right direction. I can see RID growing strong and plan to be around to watch it do so.
