Fort Keen City Update

Fort Keen Report

Current Rank: Township (III)
Number of Structures: 84
Number of Citizens: 34
Number Required to Advance: 30
Number Abandoned: 13
Important Structures Marked as Abandoned: None

While there are three more Abandoned Structures, those three belong to someone who is not a citizen, so the overall loss to Fort Keen is 13 citizens. Unfortunately, this will halt our advance to Rank IV, something that we've been attempting to attain since...August 2007, but were held back because of the lack of citizens or the cap.

While not necessarily the most important RID city (outside of Fort Oasis), it does hold a vital symbolic purpose. It is the only RID city on a planet with a Static Base. A Shuttleport will allow us quick access to that. For all intents and purposes, it is the only RP city under RID management, with buildings dedicated solely for RP (although FO does have a prison). Next, as neighbors to a very old, very prominent Rebel city (Freedom's Peak), investing our resources into Fort Keen will increase the Imperial foothold in that area providing a quick response to Rebel PvEers and PvPers. (Few know that the Rebels held BBs on Talus, between Freedom's Peak and Fort Keen (then Carpe Diem), until we waited for the bases to blow and we put down our own bases instead. Hence, no more Rebel BBs on Talus! Finally, Fort Keen, even though it currently lacks a shuttle, handles a steady stream of customers thanks to Ruh Shi'od (former RID member, current CCXX member and Fort Keen citizen).

I ask all RID members (and fellow Imperial forum lurkers) to take these into consideration if you're leaving your old cities and looking for a new home.

Edit: missed a house

Recruiting at least 9 citizens to qualify for rank advancement shouldn't be too difficult.

You may need to also rely on unguilded Imperial citizens, especially those from guilds you're friendly with.

Recruiting at least 1 citizen every 4 days should do the trick.
