Opinions on Profs

Okay, now that the NGE has been out for some time I'd like to get some opinions on professions. I have only tried two professions, Jedi and Commando and I must say I had a lot more fun as a Jedi than I did a commando. Commando had the armour advantage but it just wasn't as funw ithout the force powers. And now that there is the abilities to get those robes... I dont understand why they disabled heavy weapons

I'd like everyone's opinion on the profession they chose. I am looking at smuggler, spy, bounty hunter and officer still and would like to know what those professions are like. Thank you!

I chose officer. It's pretty straightford, and I like it. But I cant compare it to any other proffesion since I haven't really tried any.

What special moves does an officer get? Are they only really beneficially in a group?

Officer group buffs are bugged, but assuming they worked, they would be beneficial to the group. Officers get specials with a lot of cool visuals, and their overall damage/purpose isn't bad. Some specials allow you to launch missles or somthing from space, killing/injuring enemies withen a certain radius.

I have to get used to the specials, so when I learn more about the, I'll let you know.

I picked Entertainer because it's integral to how I roleplay my character. Unfortunately, I'm already quite bored with the profession. While it is cool being able to play so many songs and perform so many dances, the novelty wears off rather quickly. I'm frustrated that I can't participate in battle although being entertainer is good for exploration since none of the enemies will attack you.
Mostly I'm frustrated that they haven't fixed the entertainer quests so there's really nothing for us to do. (Notice how the entertainers' and traders' guides are "coming soon" on the SWG website).
Not that you would, but don't waste a respec on entertainer until they make it more worthwhile.

Meanwhile, I'm eagerly waiting for my supposed second slot...

I realized how much is missing out of all the professions. Quests are missing, weapons are disalllowed, missions don't work. Makes me angry.

Tried Jedi, Bounty Hunter, Medic, and Spy, but I like Jedi most, since i have the option to use guns (not as well but still can use them) and a lightsaber, which is much faster than the other melee weapons out there.

What type of things are yo uable to kill? I have an issue if there is more than 2-3 level 70s
