CHARACTER INFORMATION:
Do you have any alternate character(s)? If so, mention their name(s), faction(s), level(s), profession(s) and any additional information. List if they are in guild(s). If any are not in a guild, state if you'd like them to join R.I.D:
Beeblebroxx. He is a fat Rhodian and an Imperial droid engineer. I sort of roleplay him as a surly, drunken DE who was spurned by a pretty Rhodian dancer named Tibu (played a friend whom I will mention below). Beeb, as he is called, is my comic relief. He can be guilded.
Do you have any real-life friends or family within R.I.D? If so, what are their names? Do you know anyone personally, elsewhere throughout the game?:
My buddy Cathy. She brought me into SWG. She is not part of RID, however but she rocks.
Have you ever been in any guild(s) on this server on any character? If so, mention the name of the guild(s), their faction(s), why you are no longer a part of the guild(s) and any additional information:
I was with ISOC with Sol’Kar and Beeblebroxx. Leaving ISOC was difficult as it is an honorable guild with great players. Unfortunately, the senior staff were blind to the problems that had arisen during the last six months. The guild lost members from disinterest, was unable to keep new players, and senior players all but vanished only to sign on a few times a month to update their GCW ranks. I found the latter part alarming as these members spoke highly of defending the guild and keeping it actively staffed and yet they were doing exactly what they spoke against. In essence they fell victim to stagnation and the inability to notice it which is deadly for a group organization IMHO. When I was left to patrolling bases alone, I decided that I had to move on to some place else. Once I make such a decision I never go back on it which was why it was so difficult for me.
Have you ever been in R.I.D before on any character? If so, how many times? And why were you removed/leave?:
No.
Have you ever been a Rebel on any character you played with on Starsider?:
Never. You’re talking to die-hard Imperial here.
What is your current housing status? Do you have any homes on any worlds? If so, how many homes do you have, what type of home(s) are they, and what planet(s) are they on? Would you be interested in holding citizenship in a city associated with the Regal Imperial Fort Network? If so, mention a preferred city (If able):
I am already a citizen of Fort Keen. I have a bunker temporarily placed outside the city limits (I am moving items around) and my alt Beeblebroxx's house is nearby also out of limits.
Are you on the SWG Trial Account, or on the Full SWG Account?:
Full account.
PERSONAL INFORMATION:
Would you be willing to use the current in-game voice-chat system, if you aren't already? What about alternate voice programs?:
I used the in-game voice chat system with ISOC but I can use any system the guild wishes.
What is your SOE forum user-name? Do you use the forums often?:
Thorn. I use the forums occasionally.
What time zone are you in? If you don't know, mention the country or state you reside in. What are your playing hours? What days of the week, and at what times are you usually most active?:
EST. I am usually on between four and six and eight to ten. I sort of come and go from the computer. I also play on the weekends when I am not doing something else.
What are your interests (IE: PvP, PvE, RP, space, etc.)? Feel free to list more than one:
PvP, PvE, and RP. I can do space only if I must and it was a long slog to get to ACE. Just so you are aware, I did take apart my fighter before leaving ISOC so a new member who had no credits could earn his pilot ranking.
What is your real-life age? If not willing to answer this question, you may leave it blank, or give an approximation (IE: Younger or older than 18 years of age):
I am 34. If I hear old man jokes I may have to shoot you. :p
What are your traits? Are you a good communicator, leader, or follower (feel free to list others, and more than one trait if applicable)? How do you feel the guild can assist you, and how do you feel you can assist the guild?:
I have a much better “written voice” as I do a speaker. I am more the follower type but I can lead if so needed. I did lead a squad with my last guild but I have no illusions as to that position giving me some kind of elevated status in RID. Everyone who is new starts at the bottom and that is just fine by me. I prefer to run instances and patrols with people that I am familiar with and who are into the game for the pass time that it offers. A team that works together and operates knowing how its other members play is an awesome experience. There’s nothing like rolling into a static base, going through Restuss, or running an instance where everyone knows exactly what they and the other person can do. If anyone does make a mistake it is simply laughed off and taken as jest. I cannot stand the boneheaded players who have emotional meltdowns because they did not get the full set of tokens or something went wrong especially toward a new player who is learning the ropes. I have a list loaded with such people that I have sworn never to game with again.
I will stand the line and I NEVER run unless the order to withdrawal has been given. I firmly believe that you do not leave a guilder alone on the battlefield. You stay with them until the other poor bastard is dead or until the both of you end up taking a trip to the cloner. As to what I expect from the guild I just expect one thing: Honesty toward its players and itself.
Additional Information:
I am new to the roleplay part of SWG but I have been interested in it since I have joined. I have, and am part, of several E-mail and forum based games outside of SWG where I play characters in different genre’s. I understand it is not the same as SWG roleplay but I understand character creation, novella writing in different perspectives, plot development, etc. In short, I like to write. It is the mechanics, the rules, and the processes ofroleplay of which I am not familiar. I'm interested in seeing how it works.
