I got this idea today when I make a demo of this app to one of my client at work. Maybe not everyone knows TWITTER.
What is TWITTER?
Twitter is a service for friends, family, and co–workers to communicate and stay connected through the exchange of quick, frequent answers to one simple question: What are you doing? (picked up on www.twitter.com)
Now how TWITTER can be helpful for us?
I think if all members can get an account and follow each other and the official RID post we could send invites for heroics, base busting, PvP event, space activity, guild meeting etc. You could read a message like: OMG Eisley is under Rebel's control!!! I NEED HELP !!!! and you'll get the honnor fiber to hop on and get RID of those ennemies.
How can you get TWITTER?
The first thing is to subscribe. You go on www.twitter.com and get registered. After, you make a little search for SWGRID (http://twitter.com/SWGRID) and follow him. Each time someone will post something you'll get a instant update.
Where can I use TWITTER?
You can use TWITTER on your cellphone via text messenging* or if you use a smartphone, get the application* on your Blackberry for example. You can also install a little app on your computer and see directly on your desktop any updates on the feed. You can find a lot of apps on www.twitter.com/downloads
