ISS Crucible launch

The ISS Crucible will be making Her maiden voyage 1/2/09.

Due to restrictions in-game (as in I can't get an ISD), the Crucible will be a YE-4 GunBoat. She is the home of the Black 8 Squadron.

All RID are invited to attend this huge event. She is not only the home of the Black 8, but the RID FlagShip. Ceremonies begin at 1800 hours EST

I'd suggest selling tickets due to the limited amount of seats available.

Also, I think it's a little premature to call one ship the "RID Flagship". I'd suggest a vote or something similar before one ship gets that title.

Well Erougn has always been the official head of the RID navy and even now that we don't have any official divisions and whatnot, I think it's still pretty fair to call him the unofficial head of the unofficial navy in RID. Therefore, I believe he's got the right to name the flagship of RID, with Lexx's approval of course.

Yeah, I've got no real issue with however it's named.

I do hope to attend by the way. If seats fill up, I can escort you in my Deci or RGI

I actually hesitated for a second before I typed that FlagShip line. I thought naaa nobody would make a big deal about it

As far as selling seats, I prefer something more along the lines of musical turrets, and if you don't get a seat...into the airlock with ya! Seriously, I doubt it'll be an issue. Whoever isn't gunning can mix drinks.

I am totally down for this I changed the date to my heroic run starting date to 1/9/09 just so I can come along on this one. What time are you thinking about launching? I work that day and it might be a late day for me but I wanna go! =)

Dude, you didn't hafta cancel heroics!

I was only planning on going up for an hour or so. Less if only a couple people show.

We can run heroics after, I'm down.

I spent a lotta time and cash, and this ship is already hardcore PvP ready I think :-)

The Black Eight HQ is in Fort Oasis. If there were a lot of people, I woulda had a short ceremony there and launched at Mos Eisley. Since it was just me and Tenvik, we just launched from Eisley with a couple xp hounds.

EDIT: The wp of the Black Eight HQ was attached to every mail I sent out in-game (except for the 15 minute warning) :-P

regardless of the EX hounds I had fun. they stayed on the top turrets and I ran between the other 4 turrets, and Erougn flew the beast so it was a lot of fun. =)

Very touchy to fly, I might add. I may actually switch to a lower y/p/r engine to make it more manageable.

Crap! Sorry I missed it. My perception of time and date is so skewed right now since I haven't been working or going to school for a few weeks. Really wanted to make it and hope to see that ship sometime soon.
