Application in Need of Review

Was recommended to RID by Jamelica, but seems somewhat sketchy.

Yeah I looked over the Application earlier and I agree does seam a bit sketchy, but also sounds like he is friends with Jamelica and like to RP with her, since his main character is on another server and his character is so low of a level on this server I really don't see what harm he could really do other then being a Jackass, so I say yes for now, but I honestly done foresee him spending a lot of time on Starsider.

Well, the application was scarce at first (since he left out a lot of questions). So I had him fill it in completely.

I too don't see much harm in recruiting him either, but let me know what you all think.

When I spoke with him/her last night he/she was very eager to join right at that moment. I don't really know why however, but he/she seemed to be most interested in RP. I suppose you could see what you think during the interview and make a judgement call from there. Can always give the boot if they turn out bad.

I don't have a problem with it, provided he/she is going to focus on bringing that CL up. I could have sworn we have a min CL before joining. When people come to Starsider from another server we really don't know what we're getting because there's usually no one to vouche for the applicant. It was this way for me coming from Ket.

True, but I cannot blame someone for starting a new toon on starsider since there are no free transfers yet.

Indeed. The CL requirement is sort of "vanished" now, and we just take CL into consideration on a case by case basis.

As stated I am sure he is harmless, but I still haven't been able to fully forget about the Europa experience. There were spies on both sides and I would hate to see another instance of griefing within RID.

My advice is to cite a combat level requirement and then see if he is dedicated to joining. If someone really wants to join RID, I don't think it takes too much effort to grind to level 40 or 50.
