I'm going to try and gather names and professions of at least 2 small imperial guilds that would be interested in running instances with us. It's pretty hard to find the required professions, but if we worth alongside other guilds, we can set up better. at least temporarily, this way people that are just joining the guild won't get bored as easily and run away, because there'll be instances being ran and stuff.

I'll be trying to get us more involved with Sunder.

This would be great. We actually managed to form a group yesterday for Axkva yesterday, but 3 of the people were non-RID's. Surprisingly, we actually got two of our own medics pretty quickly to help: Raigo and Eedu.

We almost lost the instance, but Eedu rescued the entire group. In any case, I agree completely. We need one or two closely allied guilds to do instances with.

I wholeheartedly agree....to a point. For those that don't know, I left SWG for WoW to continue to play games with my guildmates, the Hooded Nomads. In WoW, we ran the "heroics" (actually 20 and 40 man raid dungeons) with a few other guilds because we didn't have the manpower to do it ourselves. After a while however, more and more people were being left out of the raids due to not enough space. The leadership in their infinite wisdom kindly informed me (ok, not so kindly, they threw me out) that they felt it was in everyones best interest (theirs, cause they went on every raid) to maintain things as they were. I got the boot cause I stood up to them and showed them that we had the numbers to run 2 seperate groups, and didn't need the alliance for just 1 group a week (the raids can be saved to be able to run over the course of a week...they usually take 6-8 hours to complete for most). So, in the interest of not getting the boot here, I propose this:

Let's go ahead and make friends with guilds and run instances with them, because at the moment we cannot support the numbers. If one of our members is the group leader, RID HAS PRIORITY when it comes to a spot on the team. Actually, each guild should use that same system, where their guild has priority when they are the leader. Alternating nights would allow every guild involved to get their people into the instance.

I only say this because I don't want any of our members to get disenfranchised with the way groups are chosen. Also, have a signup list here on the forums...if you sign up here, you get priority in the group makeup...a great way to promote forum usage eh?

These are all just thoughts that I had on the idea of allying ourselves with another guild. I just want to make sure that we put the needs of the guild first. So if you guys don't go with any of them, that's ok, just wanted to get my 2 creds in before it all happens

yeah that's a great idea, and that's exactly what i would like to see once we have the people on, that they get priority. and yeah, should make use of the forums too.
