So did anybody see that new 100-inch plasma TV at CES this year? Imagine watching all six Star Wars movies on that! Hehehe...

There is a 108 inch going retail (not sure if it was at CES, I read about it in Forbes). I thought I saw a headline recently about a 150 inch TV.

The only problem with TVs that big is physically getting them into your house...

I don't see how something that large (and relatively thin) is stable to be honest. A TV that large could crush a small child on the way down.

We had snow yesterday (pretty big for North Carolina). Amazingly, the snow was sticking at 40 degrees. Snow doesn't bother me in the north, there are salt trucks and snow plows, but it takes two weeks to give our street sweepers plows and salt dispensers.

There is one upside to having snow in the south. People here are scared of it. No one leaves there house if their is even a chance of snow. Its a great time to go to dinner or see a movie.

its really not that great. Spend a winter in the north and you will have seen all the snow you ever want to see.

Yeah, you folks in the south get a quarter-inch of snow and you declare a state-wide emergency and cancel everything. The general rule of thumb up here is that at least 6 inches of the white stuff must fall overnight for anything to be cancelled. Sure, you'll get bingo cancelled with 3 to 4o inches, but nothing less than about 4 to 6 ill get school cancelled. I think 6 or more is needed before the universities start to close.

Still, you guys in the south crack me up. It'll get right around 50 or 60 degrees outside and you all are bundled up like its a blizzard outside. As soon as it breaks 50 up here, I know a few folks who break out their shorts and Hawaiian t-shirts. Since I'm a NASCAR fan it is fun watching what people wear down at Daytona for testing and for the 500. You'll hear the reporter, "It's a cold 62 degrees outside today and everyone is bundled up to keep warm." Shit, I'd kill for that 62 degree weather right now.

I'm from Chicago and I've spent every winter except this last one in Ohio so I don't really count as a Southerner.
