Is SWG still worth it?

The trial really isn't bad. I played through the station twice before I reactivated my main account. It gives one a nice feel for the NGE.

Yeah... SOE definitely has spies that follow you and make your life miserable. Your fiance will leave you a day before your wedding (whenever that is...) and go to some rich SOE guy... Just wait.

SOE isn't that bad, its just the SWG team. The EQII team is great. They are on Publish 42 and the game is a lot younger than SWG.

Yeah but doesn't SWG do they're updates in tenths? like 1 update is from 5.2 to 5.3?

I meant updates as full chapters. I think SWG had 29 before the new system and 8 "chapters" afterwards.

They are now announcing a new system. They arent doing the chapters anymore. They are doing "content releases" every 4 weeks now, which is to give more frequent additions.

seriously? lol I was just getting used to the chapters. Heres to the SWG team finding something works eventually.

Do you have link to something I can read or can you post something here (since I can't access the forums)? Most of the planned updates have gone live now, so I'm curious as to where they are going now.

I actually really like this approach. I can see it working for SWG and I think the community will welcome it.

Well, it wasn't Windows Vista screwing up the install. I got the same catastrophic failure on my XP laptop... It keeps erroring out on the Patch 9 tre file... You think if I stick in my original SWG CDs that I will have the same trouble? I know, I'd have a shitload of updates, but it can't be any worse than not actually playing the game.

At this point, I'm almost tempted to pony up for one month or so to see how it goes... (assuming I can get the game installed)
