The graphis are crap compared to today's stuff, but they are a blast to play and put something like JTL to shame. Every now and then I dig them out and give them a play. There are like six campaigns to TIE Fighter and they all offer something a little different.
While I'm at it, does anyone remember a game called Rebellion (1995-ish)? In the UK and Europe it was called something different (Supremecy or somthing like that...). It was LA's first try at a Star Wars style RTS. It's a little different than most RTS's and has a bit of micromanagemnet to it. For the most part, it wasn't a ery popular game. Personally, I loved it ever since I started playing it. I still pull it out about once or twice a year and play it a bit. Am I the only one who remembers this game?
Also, what about Guild Wars? I have heard about it and read a few things about it, but never researched the game extensively. Is it a good MMO for being free? Is it even worth considering with it's sequal coming out in 2008?
I was in the beta, and it kept my attention for about two weeks. It is far too easy. Exploration is completely optional as you can instantly warp to anywhere you would want to go. It makes leveling a pure chore. The plus is in the quests. All of the quests are instanced, and so offer a unique experience compared to other MMOs. Crafting is no fun at all. PvP also has instanced arenas, but that gets old fairly fast.

Personally I think you should try out SWG, even just to save your house from being pulled down. Over the past 5 chapters its been getting closer and closer back to what we once loved and its progressively getting more fun to play.

I have Rebellion, although I dont/didn't really play it. The Tie Fighter games were nice though.

I subscribed for a month last fall, but I decided to make it only one month. When I left the game I donated everything I had to the guild. Everything, my equipment, my money, everything. When I logged back on I had 4 naked characters and no money. It would have cost me 5 platinum to re-equip them all. A sum which I had while playing, but would have taken me months to make again. It just wasn't worth it. I haven't played an MMO since I left SWG. I did check out my old planetside account today which I get for free (don't tell SOE). I may go back to it for a little while.
