I figure, they aren't forced to post as a new member, just sign up. That way those who reeeally don't want to post don't have to, but those who are just too lazy/shy to come here have to.

Well, you can't force people to vote. If you do, it just sends the wrong message. You can force them to at least register on the forums. I don't know about you all, but I usually find that if I have to register on a forum for whatever reason, I tend to start exploring the forum to see what its like. As long as we, the existing forum members, make the forums a fun place then others will come and join us.

Of course, the would include a crackdown on non-game related conversations and encouragement of in-game related conversations. Seriously, who would want to post here when we don't even talk about in-game stuff? Before we point any fingers, let's all admit that we're all just as guilty as the next (mods included) and move on to fix that problem. When the conversations are more relevant to new forum members, then they'll be more compelled to post.

Oh yeah, if you're really serious about brining new blood to the forums, then you have to quit some of the petty bickering you do. That means no more picking on Waucod just for fun and that also means Waucod can't call anyone a fag or call something gay. I mean, who really wants to be a part of that as an outsider?

Dude this is getting to be worse than the Starsider boards almost... well I can't judge that cause I haven't checked those out in a year or so...
