It's called a job. It's all bought and paid for with my own money from my job. Of course, that was all when I was single. Now that I have a girlfriend, I can't exactly spend on myself anymore...

You can afford all that with school too... still jealous haha.

Considering I don't pay rent (cause I live with my folks still), I don't pay utilities, I don't pay for car insurance, I don't have car payments, and I don't have to pay back college loans till after I graduate, I think it is all a pretty sweet deal and I'm taking advantage of it while I can. Hehehe.

theres no way thats private. The private university I'm looking at is 43000 a year. I think I'm changing to radiology though, so I'll probably be attending Duke or Wake university in North Carolina. The only schools with even mildly good medical schools are the private universities. Not to mention they have two of the best hospitals in the state.

Unless you plan on becoming a specialty surgeon who works for at least 12 hours a day, you won't be making enough to live too well. Malpractice is through the roof, and with the majority of our presidential candidates having acquired their campaign money by suing doctors (Kerry/Edwards namely, Edwards helped a man who tried to commit suicide by lighting himself on fire, survived, and was physically scarred for life make millions of dollars off of malpractice charges), you won't see any changes in it any time soon. In Pennsylvania, we have to send patients to other states to get medical care because of how rare specialists are nowadays.

Apparently I need to show you the gigantic mansion that our FAMILY doctor lives in. This is the same doctor who went and stayed in a penthouse suite at the Wynn hotel in Las Vegas for a week. That hotel is one of the most expensive hotels on the strip... Oh yeah, did I mention the masion made of stone??? Yeah, the malpractice rates are high, but they're definitely not hurting my doctor's pocketbook (and probably not yours either)...

What game did you play? It's true some games would probably be better suited for a regular controller which is why Nintendo is making Super Smash Bros. Brawl a game that supposedly only uses the Gamecube controllers, but for other genres such as adventure, racing games, FPS games (so far Red Steel and Call of Duty have gotten mixed reviews but I actually prefer their control style over dual analog aiming), RTS, some fighting games (Dragon Ball Z for example is the best anime fighter on any system and that's actually covering a lot of ground these days), flight simulation, party games, sports, and whatever else the crazy developers decide to come up with.. the Wii will likely have the best controls. Trust me.. after playing a game like Zelda you will not want to go back to the old control style. Honestly, I've turned into the biggest snob, I can't even bring myself to play a dual analog game anymore! If the controller is a novelty, it hasn't worn off for me yet. My only gripes with the system are that Nintendo doesn't have all the Wii channels ready yet such as the internet channel, forecast and news channels, the Virtual Console game lineup is stingy with only a few choice games available, and no games are online yet (have to wait until 2007), but this will change in time. Yes I am a fanboy but I think I bring up valid points so it has to count for something.

Depends on the state. And his wife probably has a half decent job too.

i really want to doubt this. I can understand a new doctor having trouble taking a lawsuit, but any doctor who owns a practice can afford a lawsuit or two. We are talking several million dollars in revenue a year. You just file those kind of law suits under "cost of doing business" and move on. The one specialization that I've noticed a significant drop in is gynecologists who deliver babies. Which is understandable.
