Whos playing the mcdonalds monopoly game? I'm so close to winning 25,000 online. And I can win online prizes even though I work at mcdonalds lol. I just can't win the big in store prizes. I'm going for that 300 dollar best buy gift card, but I'll settle with 25000

Not everyone uses the same GPA scale. Both my high school and college use a 4.0 GPA scale. In which case, a 3.5 is pretty good. Somehow, I am still pulling a 3.8 in college and if I can maintain it, I will graduate with top honors in a year (which would be better than what I did in high school).
And Lev is right, none of ya are in college...

it is a 4.0 scale lol. Everyone uses a 4.0 scale, thats what colleges accept. I'm taking two AP classes and two honors classes. My weighted average is 5.5. My unweighted average is 4.0 out of 4.0.
I've never had a B in high school, or anyother school for that matter. My high school transcript is really pretty with all those As straight down.

It's not all 4.0, I've seen some schools use some pretty off the wall scales...

I never quite understood the need for the GPA system unless it's for people who can't count to 4...
Why can't we just express everything in percentages? And for overall, we can average them together? Or is that too difficult for people to do?
And in my college, each letter grade is worth 10 percentage points.
> 90 = A
80 - 89 = B
70 - 79 = C
60 - 69 = D
< 60 = F
In high school, the standards were a bit stricter. Each letter grade in high school was worth about 7 or 8 percentage points.
we just measure everything by percentages. Though our system goes
A - 80-100
B - 70-79
C - 60-69
D - 50-59
R - <50
Though after much discussion with an American friend of mine we determined it was much harder to get a 90 here than there in Flordia.

If I went by that scale Id have straight As! Right now, I have 3 As and 2 Bs, and 100s in all my electives.
