WoW took from DAOC and Everyquest, so whats your point? Everyone does, the only original games anymore are UO, Everquest, Anarchy Online, Dark Age of Camelot, EVE, and Neocron. I'm sure I forgot a couple Gen 1 MMOs. /clap for Blizzard in coming up with at least a couple original ideas on their own.
Both WOW and SWG are after the noob kiddie market, thats where the money is at. SWG tried the complicated mature gamer market and almost lost their shirt.

The most basic of functions and you can't do it.
Yea but the UI customizations are the shit. SWG's UI is abominable, I'd be embarrassed to say I worked for SOE as UI designer on the SWG team. I'm not even sure they have someone in that capacity, or have a clue how FUBAR their client is compared to other games.

same for eq2 you can competely revamp your UI to your playing preferences.
I was actually sending /tells and mails to my old eq2 guildies. The mail really surprised me as the mail systems are completely different. In eq2 you have to go to a mailbox and there is a shipping fee.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who missed the old UI. Admittedly, I never played with the new UI, but I've seen plenty of screenies of it and I was never impressed...

I haven't been back to EQ2 yet, but I do have Station Access. Are you playing on the PVP servers? I keep meaning to start playing again but I fail to find time, and need to reinstall my OS first anyway.

I'm not playing right now. I just got a summer job. My first paycheck is going to a eq2 subscription. If you start a character, the everfrost server is good. I can help you out there.

I really miss the old XP bars, and the fact that my waypoint monitor would never disappear. But alas, SWG just removes things rather than fixes them. blue mind bar anyone?

I have a character on uhm, I guess its The Bazaar now? Its a level 48 Templar that I have not played in ages. I also have various alts on that server, I moved them there from Toxxulia during the freebie moves.
I want to play on the new Exchange PVP server, try that out and see if its as good as it was promoted.
