Hello everyone,
In case you have never done this before, I have received the following information from Myzia regarding how to post a banner in your signature.
1.) First thing - make sure the banner size is relatively small. My banner is 174 pixels wide X 650 pixels long. It is saved as a JPEG and is only 40k big. I recommend keeping the size down to 70k or less.
2.) After you have your final banner, I recommend posting it on a free storage site online. Myzia uses http://www.photobucket.com
It is free - you just need to create a username and password. Then, you will have your own online album where you can post images. Once you set this up, upload your banner to your new online album by clicking the "browse" button and selecting the image off your computer.
3.) Once you have brought your banner onto your online album, you will see some information below your picture. There will be 3 fields: URL, TAG, and IMAGE. COPY THE INFORMATION IN THE IMAGE FIELD
It will look similar to [ IMG ]http://blahblahblah.jpg[ /IMG ]
4.) Go to your PROFILE section in the the R.I.D message board. Where it says "signature", simply paste the information you copied from the IMAGE field on Photobucket. Make sure the tab that says "Always attach my signature" is clicked to "yes."
5.) That is it! Now try posting a message here to see your new banner!
