Here's one thing I'd like to add. As members of different imperial guilds, we do not all have to like each other. If we all got along so well, we'd all wind up being in the same guild together. Each guild has a different focus, philosophy and even level of commitment. All we need to establish is a common goal. Back int the network the goal was clear and well defined; to take control of all planets in the GCW. Each guild prefered to do certain things and didn't care much for other things and that was cool. For example, RID had a group of players that really enjoyed scouting planets for Rebel base locations (I particularily liked this and spent hours making wp's on all planets). So we kind of become the intel division of the Network, although we didn't have a formal title of "intel", nor were we required to do intel work or limited to intel work only. We also had a group of players who really enjoyed taking out NPC bases. This was one of the most fun things about the old GCW to me. For the most part we did this with just RID members, but from time to time a low level member of another guild who wasn't quit ready for pvp action would ask to tag along to get some experience and have some fun. We gladly accepted these Imperials and had a lot of fun with this. RID was not so great at taking down SF bases back then so the other guilds in the network took on the bulk of this responsibilty, but if we wanted to join in the fun we were certainly welcome to. There were even guilds that didn't care about taking down bases at all, but loved pvp action. My point here is that there was something for eveyone to enjoy and we worked together.

Now the GCW is drastically different and bases seem kind of pointless at the moment, but hopefully that will change. Communication was a great part of the success of the Network. everyday I got emails from Network leaders saying stuff like "we'll be takin out SF bases on Naboo tonite if any RID members want to come with us have them contact so-and-so". The emails were sent to contacts in all guilds of the Network so we were rarley short handed.

I'd be more than happy to participate in the Core and help get things more organized. Most inter-guild problems are misunderstandings or one member of a guild saying something stupid at the wrong time. These problems can be easily and quickly resolved by good leaders.

ok that's enough of my ranting. I admit know very little about the Core or what's been going on lately but I just thought I'd share my thoughts.
