RID Uniform Suggestions

Hello RID,

I am currently thinking of some uniform ideas that all RID's should wear. I'd like everyone to post picture ideas of possible uniforms. The uniforms should be wearable by most species, but think of concepts that are more aimed for humans or humanoids. They should also be wearable by all/most proffesions, and should be wearble whether your on-leave, combatant, or SF.

RID's colors are red/black, and I'd like to see those colors in at least some portion of the uniform... whether it be a shoulder pad or something or the entire uniform.

Post pictures if possible. I will do the same as well.

Well, not all armors have those colors, RIS especially since that is what me and some others will wear after pub 28. This will limit our options to conform. Only Composite and Padded would really fit into this.

Personally I would like us to adapt the old Crimson Guard aspect that SG had and wear all RED armor.

We could wear black/red uniforms for no combat duty.

ya i know i dont post here much, lazy i am, but for the rid uniforms, with composite i know pre cu, people would use different colored sholder/arm etc to designate rank, so possible idea, just thought i would share...

Okay, here is my plan. Non-combat RID uniforms will be one, generic, cheap, distinctive red/black issues uniform. Combat armor can be ANY red/black armor, or ANY Imperial armor with a red/black shoulder pad. So Theep, that armor would be perfect for a RID combat uniform.

RID non-combat uniform wont be armor, just a clothing style. I have some ideas, and I'll post pics soon!

I'd prefer to stick to my ISB uniform, (also here).

I suppose I can do some more research into Imperial Intelligence, which is also a branch of COMPNOR, of which ISB is a branch. The Ubiqtorate (I.I.) uniform is red Long Formal Jacket, red slacks and black boots, but their official function didn't seem to fit the roleplay that I wanted for Szul.

A couple of sites where I've been piecing my information together from: a COMPNOR FanSim Group and the The Wiki and Imperial Intelligence

Now I could go with http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inquisitorius but some Dusk members saw the Inquisitor and ISB Bio on Szul not too long ago, so they decided that they would make a guild called Inquisitorius after Dusk fell apart. So it would go from them stealing off of my idea, to my directly copying their idea. Plus I am not sure what the uniform for Inquisitorius is yet.

If you want to resize that, it is too big, Edit it with Paint, press Ctrl-W (which is shortcut for Image - Stretch and Skew from the menu) and in the top portion, called Stretch, type in 80 into both boxes, ignore the skew section and click OK. Then upload the pic to replace the old one on Photobucket and it will be much more forum post friendly pic @ 800x600.

It looks nice but Comp is gimpy in combat. After pub 28 we will have a lot more options, and I think most will go with a nice set of capped Battle armor. They don't offer black for RIS, but I have a dark grey/almost black set that I will take the bicep and wear it with my red set.

Lexx I will talk to Agor about making up some nice armor for us. Padded can be done in all Red, or all Black, or even Black/Red and Red/Black.

The padded helmet looks gay but people can wear a comp helmet with it and it looks nice.

These I think would look the best and give us the best overall protection post pub 28, and allow more uniformity.

Primus layered Padded runs 800k a set. I will buy 15 sets of it in any color scheme we deem the best for our look. We just need to come up with which one we want to use.

Stats would be 6500 Kinetic/Energy with 5500 elementals. Using a primus layered Comp helmet this would give us an overall protection wearing a full suit of around 6300 Kinetic/Energy. This would be very nice for pvp as its nearly on par with a Elder robe.

Let me know if you are interested in this so I can place an order with Agor.

This is currently the uniform I am going to use as RID's Official Generic Uniform. I will change the uniform if everyone feels strongly against it. The uniform is cheap. It consists of a cold weather jacket, striped pants, uniform boots, and standard gloves and a shirt. It also comes with a decorative belt. Any jewelry may be worn with it as the wearer sees fit. It is encouraged to wear either an Imperial hat, or Red turbin with this uniform. Let me know what you think!

I will wear it so long as I dont have to wear the headwrap... even if I can't wear an imperial hat

I like the uniform I have on now, ALOT, problem is not everyone can wear chitin armour.

Nope, the devs are very tight lipped... lexx, do you know when youll be selling these uniforms? i'll take one.
