Post-mortem: TRGA War

Please post likes and dislikes here. Please keep any it "it shoulda been no rules, free-for-all, gank em dead, grief them till they cry!" suggestions out of your posts. This war was never intended to be Gankfest 2006, but rather a "always-on" GCW conflict between Rebel and Imperial as followup to Issele's last event.

Also lets hold off on suggestions for now, just focus on stating likes, dislikes, confusions about this or that rule, etc.

I know many RID's performed perfectly, but there was some confusion regarding the rules. The only person who I can think of deliberately breaking rules is Zher... but he's gone now from what I hear.

Also, the 128 meter rule was confusing. I thought TRGA was informed of the rule but it was my mistake. It just seemed impossible to fight 128 meters from the space port, shuttle port, and the cantina at the same time. I thought a dont fight inside the spaceport rule would be more effective, *excluding* the Theed spaceport and spaceports like the one on Lok.

Otherwise, all we need to do is our part. If things went more smoothly we could have had a longer war, but that's how it goes I suppose.

I would have to agree with lexx 100% on that one. I think that rule was well intentioned but not so practical. Live and learn. That seemed to be the only real source of cunfusion. I didn't hear any reports of griefing or blantant rule violations (except for the Lestat incedent I just read about). I'm gonna consider this one a learning experience. I learned I need some better buffs and to work on my fighting skills a lot, but also that we really need a voice comm server and to work on group tatctics. I'm researching ventrillo servers for us now and will set one up sometime next week. I also have some ideas for guild events that will help us work on group pvp skills as well as individual skills.

As I posted in the other thread, I think next time it might be good idea not to have any safety radius or off-limit planets... because it was just too complicated for a lot of people to understand.

Just make it No Loadzone camping, no Cloner camping and that people use Helper tag if they do not want to PVP. The Helper tag seemed to be well understood and followed. The RID that violated the Helper tag rule have quit RID anyway, just Zher and Josgo as far as I know.
