Concern on a War rule

Post by Szul » Wed Apr 12, 2006 4:10 am

I sent Lexx IGM, but due to imminent start, I want to cover my bases.

I did some measuring and the entire city limits of Bestine is literally off-limits by this rule. It might be too restrictive.

I think this rule shoud be changed to just no shooting at people *inside* these structures.

My concern was that TRGA wanted combat inside Starport buildings, and I felt that would encourage terminal camping and prevent people from buying tickets or grabbing their starships.

Basically, if you see someone loading INTO a space port or shuttle port, you do not engage untill they are outside the safe zone. If you are attacking someone, and he is running towards a space/shuttleport, you are not expected to stop, and you may feel free to kill the enemy.

Is that what you meant, or is there another concern?

I think he's saying the buffer zone is too large. How about as soon as the person leaves the main starport area and arrives at the terminal area we can engage

I think we'll do it like this. When the enemy enters the "interior portion" of the space port (not the landing pad), you may open fire.

If someone is seen *walking away* from the shuttleport, they may be fired upon.

Just do your best to ensure the enemy has completely loaded before shooting.

Why not just scale it down to say 64m instead of 128m. That would eliminate gray areas as far as decisions are concerned.

Actually, no. I mean literally outside the Starport, as in not in the building at all. People need to be able to get to Ticket terminals or their Starship Terminals without getting camped.
