R.I.D BASE OF OPERATIONS

Lexx and I placed the new Imperial Palace by Imperial Oasis. The area ia great and it's only 900m from our shuttle. What I want to do is build an Imperial Command center by the Palace and here is a list of buildings I plan to create:

Imperial Palace: Will host Imperial Summits, Imperial Balls

Imperial Pilot Academy: An IG school to train Imperial Pilots who will upon graduation be placed in Network Pilot Units

Imperial Ground Traning School: Will offer pvp training and hold supplies for all Network PA's to learn the art of pvp

Imperial Embassys: Each PA in the Network will be asked to place an Embassy where they can hold meetings and each Embassy will have the PA's wedsite and info in the building


Imperial Recruitment Command Center: A place for new players to go to meet PA leaders and get sponsorship into Network guilds

Imperial Jedi Academy: A school for Imperial Force users to learn the path of the Dark Side

how will the pilot acadamy work on ground? just RP or will it have a function? could just use it as a store house for parts

Ramona has given me the contacts of the Imperial Pilot PA's.. what we will do in recruit new players... help them get ships and have supplies for them. Have some pilot traning classes and take them in space and help them level.


Of course some will be recuited in RID. I will announce the classes on the forums once the school is set up and go to ME and recruit new players

I love your idea! but you forgot the commercial division

I used to be in a Piloting guild, I can help out anyone trying to get ace thats in the Piloting academy.

Theep once we have the building set up I am going hunt down some Imperial Pilots to help you run the school. If we have people there on a fixed days of the week for certain hours then young pilots will know where to come for help. We will have a list of a few Imperial PA's that will take these students after we teach them the basics.... and also a graduation for them to attened.

Dont worry about hunting down pilots, I have already taken care of that , and some pilots you wanna stay away from. Apium who joined RID not long ago aced 1 hour before I did and he is a very good pilot. I was planning on him and eurgon, not sure how to spell it(the new pilot) help running it. With that said I would like to have 4 people to help, im going to send out a guild wide mail tonight if I can get on the computer, explaining how piloting will work. So with you Apium, Eurgon, and I that should be all we need for now.

Very cool idea, I love it.

How about you guys use the Aprentiship thing like jedi like assign each n00b a mentor (maybe more than 1) and have them meet when they can.

Not that stupid, but an ace pilot can get about 4 people exp at the same time (actually 8 but many of them would get bored) and the fact that one day aces will greatly outnumber Tier 1s.

We are doing more than just getting experience we are training them too. No reason for noob aces.

Yea, but you cant train them by using pve. You know that being able to take down a vette alone means nothing in PvP, and wont make you any better at it. The fastest way to learn is to get them to ace let them fancy up their ship, then show them that it dont matter what ya fly, it really is the pilot.

So whats happened with all of this so far?

The building is still under construction, but it's coming along nicely.
