R.I.D BASE OF OPERATIONS

Hello RID,

Just recently, Weifert's alt, Kaelzstrom registered for election in Fort Oasis. He tried swaying peoples votes, but he didn't get any so far. Later that evening, he withdraw from the election, so right now I have about 12 votes. Kaelzstrom probably plans to register for mayor later on in the election. He'll also try to get as many votes against me, whether it be by bribing, exploiting, griefing, or whatever.

Right now, no one is registered against me, but I'd suggest that you vote now to fend off any possible attempt at taking over Fort Oasis and destroying it.

The election lasts 3 weeks, but you can only for for 2 of those weeks.

If I can make a suggestion.

Does RID have a Master Architect? Or do you know someone capable of making city hall deeds? If you do, go get at least one city hall deed and keep it handy. That way if Weifert does manage to sway the election, you destroy the city before the election is over and then you replace the city hall.

OK, I'm well aware of some issues with this, but most can be dealt with. The first thing that would happen is that you'd lose your rank. Yeah, it'd suck, but it isn't anything real big. Plus, if you have enough people already within city limits, all they have to do is log back on and enter their house to re-declare their residence within the city. So, if you could get most people to log back in, you could regain your rank in little time. Yes, you'd also lose a few of the wonderful civic structures you have, but those can be replaced with rank.

Another downside would be that citizens would see this as weakness on your part Lexx. You can negate this by utilizing city mail and by just being seen. Use the city mail as much as you have to in order to prevent weifert from winning. Make sure your citizens know it is basically a coup de' tat. By being visible, you can erase his credibility. And always, and I do mean ALWAYS, remind people to vote.

I know the whole destroying the city thing seems a bit extreme, but it's a way to keep weifert our of office. Btw, doesn't his actions fall under player harassment yet??? I mean taking over a city because of the GCW is one thing. Doing it just to piss people off has to cross the line at some point.

Weifert is just doing this for the attention. So add his sorry ass to ignore and avoid conflict with him. Eventually, it will work itself out. So, as much as it might hurt to bite your tongue (and this is to all RIDers), bite it anyways and ignore the little prick.

That's a good suggestion, and I've been meaning to pitch in some creds for a cityhall. I personally have no problem with losing rank, it'd go back up with the citizens in range. RID suggested to destroy if bad goes to worse... we can only hope it doesn't go that far, but we dont want the city we love to be hijacked by a maniac.

The ONLY problem with doing this "Plan Z" is that Europa can put homes on the border of Fort Oasis to interfere with the layout before we can grow in time. They'd scatter harvesters all around the city, so that when we grow, it's all a big mess. They could also get in more citizens, which is a problem.

Hopefully it wont come to this, but I'm definitely getting a city hall deed, just in case.

Yes, but the idea would be to destroy the city and immediately replace the city hall. Of course, A victory by wiefert would have to be imminent before such an action would take place.

Oh yeah, don't forget to redeed gardens, the shuttle, and whatever else might go poofy if you destroy the city.

I've contacted the Politician Correspondent, hoping for a response. I think I know what Europa is trying to do. They *are* in fact using a transfer exploit, and for some reason it seems to be working for them. When BSL tested it, it didn't work, yet for Europa, they seem to be gaining citizens by just transfering homes and declaring residence.

So, do the CSRs even have a clue about what Weifert and his @$$hole buddies are up to??? Including his alt???

they probably do since theres a hate thread about him every 10 mins or so in the starsider forums, they just dont care unless he directly says something like "I exploit and cheat and curse and doctor pictures" on the forums directed at the devs lol

I think he's bribing the CSR's... or maybe the Devs wont bother doing anything because he is single handedly raking in 10% of Sony's profits from SWG, considering the guy's got like 10 alternate accounts per every average player

There's even rumor that Thunderheart plays on Starsider, and that HE is Weifert
