Ok, I know the title is a bit vauge but fear not, I will explain.

As you all know by now, it's been awhile since I played SWG and many things have changed. We also have a many new members, some completely new the game. In a game like this information is power. What I would like to do is create a few threads here in the Debriefing Room for us to share information on specific aspects of game play. These threads will start with "Current State of [insert topic here]", so they will be easy to spot. I will be starting a few threads to get us started but if you have atopic you would like to start by all means do so.

I will be moderating these threads carefully to keep posts on topic so that members can easily find information on a given subject without having to sort through irrelevant posts. Please feel free to add your thoughts, opinions and information to these threads but please follow the following simple guidelines when posting.

1) Keep posts on topic.
2) If you are unsure about the information you are posting please make sure to say so in you post. We want to avoid misunderstandings and misinformation.
3) Try to make your post as complete as possible. Include as much information as you can, such as stats, waypoints etc... If you like a certain weapon tell us why you like it and in what situations it has served you well. Posts such as "Jawa Beer Rules!" (and nothing else) do not add anything to the discusion and will be deleted.
4) Read previous posts before posting. If you have something to add to a thread that's cool, but if someone has already said what you were you going to post than there's no need to be redundant. This will keep things simple so information can be quickly found and applied in game. I'd rather be in game killin Rebel scum than reading post after post all saying the same thing, wouldn't you?

If we have good participation in these threads, I believe it will make us all not only better individual players but a better guild.

Long Live the Empire!

Everything is pretty much the same as anything else in combat. Its something the Devs are "working on", but no details, ETA or anything else.

In other words, there is no real weapons or armor diversity. Damage is based off of your CL with little to no modification from anything else.

I'm starting to realize that not as much has changed as I thought. Mostly things just have different names. But for players just starting the game (hard to believe but they do exist) it would be nice to know that a not all comp armor is the same and that there is a max limit to its protection. I thought comp armor would be pretty worthless nowadays, but thanks to some guildies, I learned comp armor can be good as long as you get a set with maxed out stats. This way when they go out searching the vendors they have an idea of what's good and what's just a ripoff.

As more diversity in weapons, armor, buffs, etc is added it will be nice to have a place to look this tuff here on the RID forums.

Yea but the percentage of difference in armor protections is negligible. As is differences in weapons damages as well as all buffs but Constitution and Stamina.

Let me see if I can find that Armor rating chart again and I will post it in the Armor thread. I think it was a Friday Feature, not sure...

Yea it doesnt matter what type of armor you have these days. A capped set of bone is just as good as a capped set of mando.

Now THAT'S some useful information! A bit much to read through atm (it's getting late and I wanna get in game) but I would consider it required reading for all combat professions.

Thanks for sharing the info.

We have about 50 active people in RID right now I think, which is huge compared to most guilds. Its over 30 people anyways, I get confused with whos alt is who.
