Backstory;
An extremely valuable artifact has been located in the Lok system, the Rebels feel it is the key to a set of blueprints for a new DeathStar, the Imperials are merely ordered to seize it at all costs.
Ruleset;
Both factions will field a "Flagship" which must be a POB. This is a Capture The Flag event. Prior to Live, a coin will be flipped to decide who initially carries the flag. This faction will start with 1 point.
To capture the flag, a team must disable and dock (keep 1 ship within 50m for 1 minute) with the enemy's "Flagship". That ship must then return to their own faction's "Flagship" and dock (same rule applies). Upon successful completion they will receive 2 points. If a "flag carrier" is destoyed before they reach the "flagship", the flag reverts back to the other side, try again. 1 point is awarded to the faction for a valiant effort, and the flag is returned to the ship of origin. If the "flagship" is destroyed, and not disabled, it will retain the flag and respawn at the safe spawn. This process will continue until the timer runs out.
Load-killing or disabling a "Flagship" at a safe hyper-point will result in -3 points, all other points are combat areas. If you are load-killed in a non-flagship, sorry about your luck, try again.
NOTES:
Each "Flagship" will have an observer from the opposite faction on-board. These observers will report in SFC when that ship has been successfully docked with for capture or drop-off.
The ship carrying the flag to the "Flagship" must declare docked in SFC at both ends. This is when the timer starts. The Captain of the "Flagship" and the observer on board are both charged with monitoring the proximity of the docked ship.
"Flagships" may only repair when they do not have the flag on-board, this will be monitored by the observers
Flagships must hyper into Lok system declared
Each side may only have one "Flagship", to be named before the event goes live. More POBs are fine, but they may not carry or receive the flag.
Banned chassis; JSF, Belbullab
Free return
Imperial safe hype/ co-ordinator; Lurid Dawn/ Ramona
Rebel safe hype/ co-ordinator; Voria's Ember/ Ithoriandude or Anishor (please let me know so I can update)
Time; Live at 1900 EST, briefings at the co-ordinators discretion. Timer is 2 hours from when the event ACTUALLY goes live. It is rare for these events to start on time, and we will be getting 2 full hours of fun no matter what.
I will not fly in this event, as I will be keeping score and adjucating "differences of opinion". I give my word to be impartial, and will make the final call in disputes. If a rebel leader wants to share this responsibility, that is fine by me. My only goal here is a different type of event where we all just have fun for a couple hours.
EXTRA NOTES:
This is my first attempt at an event, if someone sees a serious flaw, please let me know so that it can be fixed in time. I don't promise to make any changes, just one's that make sense to me.
I need two observers, please contact me in-game (Erougn) or here. If I don't have 2 trustworthy volunteers by 5:00 PM EST Friday 1/18, the event will be scrapped until these positions can be filled.

Fyonna please post this reply to Inep' (I asked him to look for flaws).
Suggestions:
1-Good idea, that is now the rule
2-Another good idea, the observers will also be judges
3-OK, no points will be given for getting the flag but not docking with your own ship
Questions:
1-I will time it when it is announced in SFC, I will have timestamps turned on in chat.
2-When the Flagship is disabled the observer will take the upper turret during the docking procedure
3-Doesn't apply anymore
To Afack; A disabled ship cannot use it's guns, also since the rules state you may not repair while you retain the flag. This will make it a defensive stand by the fighters until the Flagship is destroyed or the flag is captured (this may be tweaked if I do this again, I honestly didn't think of this). One possible work around for this would be to allow the enemy to capture your flag and trust that your teammates can destroy him before he gets back to his ship. With the flag off your ship, you'd be allowed to repair.
To Toder; The safe zone only applies to the Flagships returning after they are destroyed. All other ships are fair game.
