Attack on Fort Farpoint Valley

I copied this post I made from the Starsider forums to here.

Hello everyone,

Last month, the Imperials succeeded in defeating the Rebels in Aurora Dou. As a result, it was placed under Imperial control as Fort Aurora. It is not June, and on Saturday of the 17th, the Rebels will be striking back in the city of Fort Farpoint Valley, Tatooine.

At 7 PM EST of that day, the Imperials will gather to defend Fort Farpoint Valley from the Rebels, who will attack from either Mos Eisley or Farpoint City (their choice). This will be a PvP capture the flag event. There will be three flags in the city, one at the city hall, and two elsewhere in the city. Whoever controls the most flags by 8 PM EST, wins.

If the Rebels win, Fort Farpoint Valley will be renamed to Aurora Farpoint Valley, under Rebel control. If the Imperials win, it will remain under Imperial control.

Depending on who wins will affect the type of battle we hold in July.

Everyone is invited. Rebels may contact Garsh, and Imperials may contact me (Lexx). If Xaneth is willing, he may also organize the Rebel attack.

Thank you,
Lexx Yovel

I contacted a couple Imperial Commando's so hopefully we will have at least 1 squad worth, which is a plus. Just need medics to watch our backs because I am sure we will be under heavy attack by 'dem damn Rebs'.

I noticed it got renamed to Aurora Farpoint Valley. What happened? I see a new Rebel PA has shown up, well it came back I guess since I was in Nashal when they were having their "SBR reunion" at the Starport a few weeks back...

we were outnumbered 2 to 1 just like the last event. We never had a chance. I did kill 7 people though by drawing them away from the crowd and killing them outside the city.

The re-naming of the city was to show the Rebels won. It's supposed to show that the Rebels "invaded" the city (although it is still being ran by my alt). During the next battle in Farpoint Valley, we will have an oppurtunity to take it back.

Well as for the last event... SHC said that they didn't bother showing up because the dog ate their homework. Personally, I was at Wal-Mart with my son trying to figure out what he wanted to buy with his B-Day money (no idea wtf he wanted to go there) but even if I was home, the computer was spread out in pieces on the dining room floor.

I know the Imps are out there, just wondering what happened to them. Restuss is not looking promising from an Imperial standpoint after hearing about the last two events.

Whats the same thing that IMPHL said?

Wow, IMPHL passed on a chance to kill Rebels? Not just Rebels, but a LOT of Rebels? Wow. I'm seriously shocked. Why did they say they didn't want to come? Too much lag at events? Getting slaughtered by uneven odds? Are they not PVPing much anymore?

IMHPL *was* there, just not in full force. No idea why, but I wont question it. Many Imperial guilds came, but they came small in numbers.

I think the Empire faction altogether is weakening, but cant pinpoint a clear reason as to why.

We need to give the newer players a reason to join the empire because a lot of people think of it as "well at the end of the movies the rebellion wins so I'm gonna be on the winning faction". Well thats what we need to stop and give the n00bs a reason to join the faction fighting for peace The Galactic Empire!!!~~~

Yeah, and not to mention the devs promote the joining of the Empire. The entire tutorial is anti-Imperial... it's almost as if your rebelling by choosing the "bad guys."

Brainwashing poor newbies into joining the Rebellion... tsk tsk.
