Yes, these are all being held on the same day.

Just like last year, we had a number of events which made up the entire "RID Anniversary" celebration. The Ball is just one part of the anniversary, albeit the biggest part.

The anniversary will start with a short speech of mine, and then the performances. After that, the lottery, race track and other activities will begin, and it will turn into a sort of "free for all" party.

I think I may have it open to anyone with the only rule being no heroic jewelry.

As for the time, I still support 3 PM EST.

I'd recommend agenda goes like this:

1. Speeches
2. Tournament
3. Races
4. Lottery

Always save the lottery for the end. :) We'll need to set a firm time for the lottery. I'd say 4:30-5.

Yeah, no Heroic Jewelry. But, participants may stay within a certain boundary to prevent track star abuse.

By the way, when were advertisements for this going to go up? Going to put them in the Starsider and SSG forums? :)

I'm still working on some of the graphics and the details of the post, but I should at least get a preliminary advertisement up today.

During the course of this week, I may edit it to include more specific event information, concerning things like the timeline, prizes, and other things.

In addition to the SWG forums, I'll definitely be putting this up on the Starsider Roleplay forums as well as various other guild sites.

Just wondering what might be the estimated length of the performances. Like an hour or an hour and a half or something?

Speaking of the entertainment, we'll need to explain to them that this is an OOC event, not an RP event. If we decide to make the Ball/Concert roleplay, then someone's going to come up with an IC background and purpose for it. (Which, of course, puts FNS in a tough spot because they'll need to come up with an IC backstory as to why they are hosting this IC event.) Hehe.

My point is that just to make it clear to everyone involved that this is an OOC (non-RP) event to avoid the aforementioned headache.

Here is the advertisment! http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/post ... &#11225691

I plan on adding much more detail to it during the week (not too late though, as I want everyone to be adequately informed). I'll also disseminate this information across other forums as well.

Quick question though Daiho. The race trick picture you posted. Is that the pet race track?

May want to change the text in there a bit, "a speech" should be "speeches", even if there is only one, it sounds odd to say, "a speech".

I'll work on that. Because it's a photoshopped image though it may take some time to correct :)

Still if there are any other suggestions I'm open to hear them.

Assuming you saved the PSD file, just edit the text layer and resave it as a JPG. :P
