Well, Fox news is typically seen as conservative and the others like CNN and MSNBC are typically seen as liberal. Whether or not we are winning the war on terror is pretty much related to how you view it. But, if you are going to take one side or the other in the great debate, do so because you feel it's right to you, not because some news channel said so.

One thing to remember, "Over There" is a TV show. So you know they are going to embellish a few things here and there (and leave some things out) to make for a better plot.

Blood, shouting, explosions, shooting and chaos are apart of any war, and cerex (or anybody else for that matter) if you wish to speak more indepth about the current conflict we have going on overseas we could speak in-game, I should be back saturday. Just so you guys know, im 110% for the war, just letting you know just incase you decide to speak to me ingame about it. NO DEBATES ON THE BOARD if you wish to speak of it speak in-game unless of course lexx wants to have a debate thread.

Well it depends, I suppose I can can allow a debate as long it's kept to a mature manner...

Since when has politics been mature????

I'm with Ty'e when it comes to politics and the forums. Keep politics and religion off here, it only leads to trouble. As for the war, well Ty'e can probably remember my feelings about it all. lol I'll save the rest for PM's if anyone is up to it.

Lol I don't know about you guys but I like that TIO has a flamepit section. I personally have kept forgetting to see Over There on Wednesdays,I meant to watch it this time, I could better give you an answer if I saw it, is there reruns of an espisode on a certain day or something? Or a place on the internet where they have past episodes to d/l that anyone knows of?

Oh and guys, we CANNOT be winning a war on Terrorism. It is NOT possible.

of course it's not possible, and untill they invaded Iraq there was little to no terrorism there. But that's all I'll say, no arguements Lexx said.

On second thought, I'll make this an exception, as long as nothing is taken personally. But in the title put "controversial opinions" or somthing. But if it gets out of hand it'll be locked

No matter which side of opinions you choose to believe in be careful who and what you believe because there are numerous instances where people believe fully in something that is just not true or good and at times it scares the hell out of me that people are so willing to believe some of this crap.
for instance I remember reading a thread somewhere where it talked about how a Bilderberger died and people were cheering over his death on the boards, and the only reason they do so is because hes rich they automatically assume he is evil, to my knowledge there is absolutley no evidence to support this claim, I think if I remember correctly he gave people jobs. So.... whenever you support someone make sure you analyze everything they say, make sure you truly believe in it and do not support it just because it is "popular" or to impress someone, or to be rebel, support what you truly believe in.

I'm telling you, this is a bad idea. I'm one vocal son of a b!tch when it comes to politics and I don't care if I hurt someone's feelings. So beware what you allow here.

I agree with this remark. Terror is not something one can exactly wage war on. It is like waging war on crime; you can do your best to surpress it, but it will never be gone

As for whether or not the war in Iraq was justified is more complicated. You have to first pick a point of view. Are you asking were the reasons for going into Iraq just? Are you asking was it valid how the war was handled? Are you asking if the public was lied to by the government? Or are you asking if the men lost equals the final gain.

Regardless of what you ask I dont think it is possible to have a proper debate about it now. How can you debate whether it was right to go to war or not before the war is even over? Its like asking should we have made peace with Hitler or should we have attempted to take back Europe before WWII ended. A pretty hard question to answer while it seems like The Nazis will take over the world, but a really easy question to answer now that the war has come and is long gone.

Very well, we best lock it now, although if your keeping it to PM's it'd probably make no difference.
