Nar Shadda Cantina coming soon

Post by Mikal » Sat Mar 15, 2008 10:40 pm

Ro'Bin has a cantina ready to be placed once we decide on the final spot to put it. The bigest problem right now is this though....what to call it?

Any ideas are welcome, as I am drawing a blank on it (at school I am known for coming up with all kinds of crazy ideas for projects and stuff, just somehow I can't name a darn cantina)

Being Mayor and all, I'll throw in my two cents. :P

Given the city's name and reputation in the Expanded Universe, I think having the cantina named Smuggler's Moon would be really cool. If you don't know where the Smuggler's Moon name comes from, it is one of Nar Shadda's nicknames in the EU.

I'm also partial to the name, The Drunken Graul. If you've been to our fine city, you have probably noticed the large number of grauls just outside our city borders where they wander around like drunken fools.

Btw, we do have a location for the cantina, I just haven't shown Mikal where it's going yet. :-P lol

Actually, if you'd read the EU books you would know the nickname. It's also in the Dark Forces games (not sure that the nickname is or not tho). Personally, I'm leaning a bit towards Smuggler's Moon for strictly SW purposes, but The Drunken Graul is a close second (and I think makes a nice comical fit on Dantooine).

The nickname was first seen in one of the books in the Han Solo trilogy and the Dark Froces games first. The book trilogy is a great read and the Dark Forces are a lot of fun, although extremely dated at this point.

Well Mikal, any other thoughts for a name? Since you're placing the cantina, I'll let you have first choice on naming it.
