I'm putting Gears of War down as the best game I've ever played btw.
So, what games do you have? I saw you playing Burnout Revenge. I don't own that one yet. Here's what I own:
-Halo CE
-Halo 2
-Need For Speed Most Wanted
-Need For Speed Carbon
-NCAA Football 07
-Gears of War
-Rainbow Six: Vegas
-Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter
-Splinter Cell: Double Agent
-Call of Duty 2
-Battlefield 2: Modern Combat
-Perfect Dark Zero
-Project Gotham Racing
I think that's all of them. I have played Oblivian, but it was my friend's copy. We need to hook up one night and start playing GoW online. I've only played a couple games and I got spanked in those.
Oh yeah, if you are looking to play games but are short on cash, don't forget to rent!!! If you are into bumping up your gamerscore with some ease, try any of the EA sports games, espeically the '06 versions. They are all prtty easy to get and I think they all total up to 1,000 points on each game.
I only have three games. I'd like oblivion but since I've already played it extensively on the comp ill probably pass. I'm holding out for mass effect but that won't be until Q3 07 so my next game will probably be rainbow six las vegas.
I finished GoW today on casual. Me and a friend did some of a new campaign on hardcore. I'm waiting until my friends get back from vacation so we can either do a lan party, or form a team to go online. Anytime your on I'm up for some multiplayer though.

RSV is one hell of a good and addicting game. The fun really picks up after you get past the Mexico mission. I'm only playing on normal difficulty and it's been enough to make me reload my previous checkpoint a few times. The key is just knowing how to enter certain rooms and how to work your teammates (which are fairly smart for AI).
Hey, anytime you want to co-op in GoW or do some multiplayer, let me know. Just shoot me a message or something on Live and I'll gladly play.

Get the 360.. the PS3 seems to be going downhill fast, losing exclusive games and getting trounced by the competition. I've heard that the PS3s stores do actually get still sit on the shelves while the Wii and 360 continue to sell out. It's probably still too early to make predictions but from the looks of things it's going to be the Wii and 360 battling it out this generation.

not really, saying the wii and 360 compete is like saying the PC and PS3 compete. They appeal to different moods/tastes. I mean you can buy a 360 and a wii for the price of a PS3.

yeah its pretty simple as imo all of the people who like fps or soon strategy will go out and buy a 360 and pretty much everyone else will go with the wii cause they suck

Both machines are consoles primarily designed to play games so yes they are competing for market share. The games on each system will be radically different due to different controls but in the end, a game is a game and a system is a system. The Wii will have it's share of hardcore games just as the 360 and PS3 will have it's share of "family- oriented" games. Especially now since the Wii has been adopted by pretty much everyone, hardcore and casual gamer alike, companies will have no choice but to release their choice software on the Wii to appeal to the mass market audience Nintendo has created for itself.

I didn't know that being adopted by everyone meant selling only 2 million Wii's. Yes, the Wii had a successful launch, especialy with casual gamers, but that's it. Perhaps the Wii's biggest strength, it's control scehem, is also its biggest flaw. I mean, the fact that the Wii has turned out popular means that many developers will bring a lot of games to it. Odds are, many games will be ports of 360 and PS3 games (come on, ou gotta be willing to milk the gaming cow). The problem is that I don't see most ompanies that port over games spending a whole lot of effort recoding the game for the Wii. Yeah, they'll add in a Wii control scheme, but it won't be as great as a game developed xclusively for the Wii.
That's just my take on it though.

So far you're right Kurke.. companies have taken the lazy route with their games by simply porting them over to the Wii, redesigning the controls and that's pretty much it. But as the Wii continues to pick up steam you may see companies start to develop games firstly on the Wii from the ground up and then port those onto the PS3 and 360. Why would companies bother with the PS3 or 360 if the Wii is selling more? Companies stand to make the most money first with the Wii, then later 360 and PS3. That's why a lot of games last gen appeared first as exclusives on either the X Box or PS2 than later the Gamecube, because they were the more profitable systems. Controls and graphics will be irelevant where money is involved.
Ok I'll shut up now, I'm bored :/
Everyone is entitled to their opinions.

no it wasn't. I would have left it in the GAT. Its from the "my gamertag" thread.
And the Wii barely outsold the 360, and this was the 360's second holiday season.
