I'm still trying to remember how to work the layers on the banner though.. I mean I took a photoshop class in High school. Back in like 1999 or 2000 so i'm still trying to refresh my memory. Plus photo shop has alot of new choice's now.. Can you make a layer transparent so you can see the backround...

I believe there should be an option to do that when first forming a new layer, but not sure.

Its all about working the layers from what I understand. For each item you add you use a new layer. So that way when you need to go back and edit somthin you just select that layer and edit what you want. Like for mine. my chars are screen shots that I took I just croped them down and added them to a layer. The RID logo I stole from Lexx's banner. and the imperal logo I found on the internet. After a little bit of time tweeking (5 hours) I got what i have now. And yes it did take me that long. For a simple banner like that.
