well "vets" who left the game prob unistalled it and don't have it anymore so how can we get char pics

Tele, the reaason why you can't get your lightsaber glow to work is beause you are trying to apply a filter over top of a transparent background. The only format that can support that is, of course, a PNG. That however leads to a few compatibility issues with some web browsers. If you apply the filter to a white background (or some other color), then the effect will work fine. So, basically you have to create a white area where you can apply your glow effect and keep the glow effect within just the white area. Then, you an have the transparency everywhere else and manage to keep the entire thing as a GIF.
