I would be more than happy to organize events in the city after the purge. I plan to get a mall and some more citizens into the city after the purge. As time goes on, I may consider transfering the city to someone I fully trust, so I'll always keep a close eye on it.

I never really understand what happened in Farpoint City, but what exactly happened there?

Anyways, for now I'll hold onto the city carefully. In the meantime, I'm gonna get some RID's to blow up some homes tommorow!

Farpoint was dead as you know. The Mayor would not promote events at all. even when Mona would plan some. Blissany decided to step up and offer to become Mayor and bring the city back to life. The Mayor IMO took the stance well he did not want the city but he sure did not want anyone else to have it. Blissany ran for Mayor and was getting a lot of support from the citizens in Farpoint. The Mayor brought in Vazer and his band of fools to stack votes against Blissany when he say he was lossing the elections and then he got another guy to run against Blissany. I forget the guys name but he was the one who faked his death on the Starsider boards a year ago. He had someone posted he had died IRL. Then about a week later he posted it was a joke. He even had a picture posted of him holding his rl 2 year old son in the death thread.

Anyway, the Mayor then decided he did not want anyone to have the city so... he pulled up the cityhall and destroyed the city. He did not tell anyone he was doing this and those who had shops in the city logged in that day to find out there shop was now in the middle of no where and the shuttle gone. He took down the cityhall, shuttleport and all the decorations in the city. I am sure he pocketed all the credits that were in the treasury of the city too.

This is why I only trust you to control the city. There is just not many old cities left anymore like this. On this aspect I never understand some people who claim to be role-players and do stuff like they did in Farpoint.

Lets diffently get together and plan some events. I will also move a house into the city next week and become a citizen. Maybe we can even start a City Council in the city... like Farpoint used to have... I I am diffently interested in helping you out with Farpoint Valley, so please... :D keep the city under your control.

Wow, such an epic story

Anyways, a council seems like a good idea. I even told Ty'e that I will not transfer the city to his guild, but will be more than willing to welcome them in our city to have a say. I realize roleplay plays a big part in Farpoint's past so I still want that to be a part of it in some way.

The council is a good idea, so as soon as you become a citizen, we can put that up and organize some events.

Lexx, got your email tonight about farpoint. Not happy in the least, sad to say. I can't stand roleplay, and Ramona either. So the city going to her guild is for me, dreadful.

I'd move to oasis, but since space is limited, and I'd need two slots for both my guildhalls, not sure what I'm going to do. No desire to stay there now that it'll be an RP central. Not thrilled about moving to daroo either, since it's right in pvp central. Seems I'm stuck again. :(

I know it's somewhat dissapointing to those RID's who've called the place their home. Fact of the matter is I couldn't have run the city forever, and it was increasingly difficult to hang onto it over the course of the year I ran the place. Ever since returning roleplayers have had no real city to flock to, I have encountered some elections. First, when Clarissa agreed to transfer the city, I had to run against a friend of Koth (who was mayor of the sister city Farpoint City). Next, several months later, Gawau, and his guild GHOST, ran against me, dissapointed that the city wasn't what it was months ago. Then, a couple months later, Ty'e and his guild asked me kindly to trasnfer the city, but I refused. Now, with the council up, I've decided it's time to stop struggling for a city which has been the hight of controversy.

I have respect for roleplayers to say the least, so I do not want to be at bad terms with them, especially Ramona, as she has organized many space events for the space division in RID. I trust in Clarissa and the new council to take care of the city. No it won't be an Imperial or RID city. As for you Kendralla, hang in there for a bit longer. I am still mayor for 3 more weeks. Once the election is over, I will start planning for building a suburban city south of Fort Oasis. This city will have room for large homes and guild halls.

So, will your new suburban community come complete with ranch-style homes and minivans for the soccer moms? :P lol

Tat is capped though for cities having shuttleports, or am I wrong? So even if the new city did take off, without a shuttle there's really no point.

Not sure where I'll end up moving to, maybe dantooine. For now though, since I don't like roleplayers, I've got my shopsign basically saying so, and banned any member of PIXIE, along with a few other RP guilds, from entering my shop. They may be taking over the city, but I don't have to like it...lol.

Tatooine is capped for cities, but I do expect some cities to fall as the bug bash comes into effect. One of the fixes is that ghost citizens will be removed (IE: citizens that lived in a city 4 years ago, are citizens, but dont have homes). Hel'mut will found a suburban city, I'll see to it :D

Although it wont get a shuttle right away, it will over time. It can be expected that some metropolis could fall, allowing us to have a shuttle. But regardless, we'd need to take our time in getting the 40 citizens neccesary to run a shuttle.

Also, on a side note, sales taxes will finally be fixed.

Anywho, the point is I do not want to be on bad terms with the people taking the city now. So it might as well be easier to accept that and move on. There's always a possibility of being more involved in the city later in the future, but it was probably my fault getting involved in the city in the first place. It caused more trouble then it was worth.

You can move to Dantooine for now, but when our new city gets founded, we'll have a place for you there. I already charted out a location and will probably map out some homes now (I wont make the mistake of being disorganizes hehe).

Got the email from clarissa, and yourself Lexx.

I sent her a reply about it, so I thought I'd post here as well.

The sign isn't getting changed. It's a personal preference on who I want to do business with ingame, and who I don't want hanging around my shop.

I also stated to her that this has nothing to do with RID. If the city were in any pve guild/players hands, and was being given to any rp person or guild I'd feel the same, and the sign would say the same.

Very well but even if you say RID isn't involved, we ARE involved because you are a RID and you represent your guild. Your either changing the sign or moving out... period. If you want to ban roleplayers from your shop that's your perogative, but as your leader I'm ordering you to either move the guild hall out, or rename it.

Not just because Clarissa requested so, but because I don't want anymore headaches on the matter.

Sorry Lexx, but I feel strongly about this, and I'm not removing the sign. I've been nerfed by the devs, abused by players, and bugged by roleplayers. I've had enough, and I'm not giving in on this. If clarissa doesn't like it, she can get stuffed.

It's ok for rpr's to infringe on me by emoting all over the place, and dropping lag making storyteller npc's in the city, but it's not ok for me to say I don't like it.

I really, Really, REALLY don't want to, since I consider a lot of RID like family, but I'll remove myself from the guild since I'm not changing the sign.

If that's your decision, fine, but you'll only turn out to regret it. It's such a petty ordeal. There are some things that just aren't worth getting riled up about. It's not going to solve anything in the end. We, and myself made an agreement to transfer the city. I knew they were RP'ers. It's not like they took the city through force, it was an agreement. It was an agreement because I had other plans than to run a city where we are not completely wanted in the first place. This has nothing to do about roleplayers, this isn't some holy war. It's about transferring the city to who needs it most, for the time being. Perhaps in the future this will all change, but for now it's time to move on and build the new city next to Fort Oasis. You'll be welcome there instead.

Another choice is to move into Fort D'aroo. Inep and I were talking about how desperately we need a mall in that city. I know you despise PvP as well, but if you moved there, you'd get plenty of business. There are plenty of other options than to stick around in that city and incite more petty drama.

But should you reconsider, let me know.
