Who's Getting SW: Battlefront?

Title says it all. BTW, for those of you who don't know, Star Wars: Battlefront is bascially Battlefield 1942 meets Star Wars. It is the game every Star Wars fan has wanted. So, are you getting it or not?

Idfig, did you play Battlefield 1942 to as well??? Which did you think was better? I personally thought the gameplay of BF1942 was better, but the graphics and helicopters in BF Vietnam were good. Of course, the Desert Combat mod for BF1942 was kick @$$. The helicopters in there were much better and the weapons were much more balanced than vietnam.

Let me know what you thought of them.

Havn't played battlefield 1942 but i did download the ww2 mod for vietnam and i liked it a lot i like the carriers and stuff like that it added a twist.

Voted Yes for battlefield.

I played the demo for it, it's not too bad. But it was only a fraction of what it will be. I played an Imperial on Endor killing Rebels

You could man turrets, bikes, and AT-ST's too.

BTW, I would recommend picking up the original BF1942. It is pretty cheap right now. Now, don't be buying the expansion packs for it, they weren't that good. But, the original game, with the patches, was great. Add the Desert Combat mod to it and it was perfect. More people played the DC mod than they did the actual game. Just goes to show what a great mod it was. A shame all the devs for the DC mod were baught up by the company that is making the new Battlefield games. Of course, I guess that means the new BF games will be as good as the DC mod. Hehehe.

Alright, someone who has played the original, back me up on how good it was. You know, I'd say the majority of you are too young to remember BF1942, but it only came out 2 years (if that) before BF: Vietnam. So, that is no excuse for you pansies not to have tried out the original. Trust me, the original puts BF: Vietnam to shame. Sure, Vietnam is prettier, but the gameplay in 1942 was so great.

I remember getting the demo disk from a playstation magazine. It had several games on it, and Battle Front was one of em. And the cool thing about the darktroopers is they have jetpacks and everything.

I dont know if there is a demo for the PC, but I am sure going to get it for the PC when it comes out officialy. But dont worry, it's more exciting to wait for it, like an unwrapped present I geuss
