Got a tell from him just now. He'd been RPing Demens for a while and it was time to try something new. Demens was perma-deathed. /Sigh

That and it means we have to start from scratch all over again since we have zero scouts and zero CompForce troops.

I'd believe this has something to do with the Clone Wars plot and urging him to still be active in RID. He kills off his 'GCW-era' character allowing him free-time to RP on his 'Clone Wars era' character. And if we ask him about RPing, he'll say, "Still working on a character concept!"

Honestly, it's his loss. If what you say about Rhaze's plots ring true (and it will), he'll regret his decision. I'm not mad at him, just frustrated with the situation. I think we should take him back in a heartbeat if he asks, and then have a nice group chuckle. lol.

Rhaze seems like just another Crespen. Reminds me of when I was a leader in ZETA. All we were for GSGR were talking, moving story-teller props.

Bingo. It's all hype, that's what he doesn't understand. All of Rhaze's plotlines have an excellent turnout, but after a month or two, once people realize they have no freedom in these events, they start to trickle down. His last plotline used to have 30+ participants in them. The last few had maybe 15 (Rebels and Imperials). Of course, about 80 people signed up for this plotline, but that's because RPers are fickle and want to be part of the 'what's hot' at the moment. And, as much as people bitch about that "damn kids show", it's popular right now.

Hilariously, out of the 80 participants, it's overwhelmingly Jedi and Mandos. Over half are Jedi, with less than 20 or so Republic military (non-Jedi), mostly Clone Troopers, of which, most of those are ARC Troopers.

Yep. All I can do is nod. With us, everyone would be included, but like you said, RP is very FotM. If it isn't glitzy, it doesn't fly. I remember back when I was in ZETA when Rhaze launched his guild, we just collectively groaned.
