R.I.D BASE OF OPERATIONS

I support Farik as the new #4 Councilman.

It's unlikely that Ramd knows Farik very well, but Lexx, Apauck, and I can vouch for his viability. He's very diplomatic--he has been an excellent additional at RID public relations when a Councilman isn't around, and, in some cases, better. He is well-liked amongst members (RPers and non-RPers alike). He's very casual most of the time, easy-going, and a fun guy to be around.

I spoke to Lexx briefly about this, and Lexx mentioned "potential candidates", so I'm interested to see who else is available.

I think he has a lot of promise, that's for sure.

So I definitely have him on the list for potential candidates.

Well I wouldn't call it a concrete list, more like a general mental tally. I've been considering Jo'taur, and even Artimaes, but I think it would be better to select a member that's been with RID longer. Plus, I'm not sure Artimaes would fit very well, from a Council perspective. Other ideas I have been weighing were Kentt' and to a lesser extent, Rhiana.

I guess when it comes down to it though, Farik is the best out of all of those, given his well-roundedness, and activeness in the guild. He's a highly visible member.

If no one really has objections to Farik, then I can appoint him as a Councilman real soon. There probably isn't much value in procrastinating, and Farik may have a thing or two to say about the proposed platoon system -- among other things.

I approached Farik earlier today to inquire if he was interested in the position, and he is.

I just now spoke to him a few minutes ago and offered the position.

I'll make the announcment in tomorrows guild meeting and grant him Executive Forum access this evening.
