Outfitting the Defenders

The other night we were soundly beaten by CHC in two engagements with about equal numbers. Now, to be fair, CHC does consist of better Rebel PvPers and most of the members we had in our group were either new to PvP and simply not ready for it. For example, two of our Medics were lacking basic Musty buffs (i.e. Injector) and Pups. One of them was also missing Food. I believe all three of our Medics were lacking Heroic Jewelry as well. There were also a few members missing Heroic Jewelry as well. I believe at least one or two members didn't have +35s.

I will admit, even if had equal buffs to CHC, I believe that we still would have lost. With three Medics, we were hurting in the DPS area; a DSJ would have been great against their Commandos, for instance. Not to mention, our group was fairly spread out, compared to their group which still relatively close together.

My proposition to resolving both these problems is through Profession Advisers, Pilot and BM are included as well. We take one member and task him to 'oversee' the development and training of those members playing particular professions. I know that -AI- did/does this.

I'd recommend that Councilmen only take on Adviser position. Between the Council, and Lexx, that still gives us plenty of positions to fill. I'd also recommend new titles be given out to these Advisers, so members (old and new) know who the 'Helpers' of RID are.

Adviser Recommendations:

Beast Master: Crazygun?

Bounty Hunter: Kioet?

Commando:

Entertainer:

Jedi: Daiho or Xoseh?

Medic: Red-Dawn (title should be awarded to TK-OneSixTwo)

Officer: Lexx

Pilot: (strip titles from Aratak and Rogrymi)

Smuggler: Arev

Spy:

Trader:

(I skipped CM and there's obviously no real rush to fill the Entertainer and Traders Adviser positions.)

The Advisers would be responsible for overseeing that members of their profession are outfitted and familiar with their professions.

Let me know what you think.

I completely forgot to mention this! I was talking with Vyos of Troop (Alay's successor, although I think she's the 'official' leader), and he's considering to have Troop engage CHC as well. It would be a welcome assistance while we work on outfitting our guys.

It would be great to see TROOP war against CHC.

Anyways I think an advisor system is a good idea. I think the only problem is that many of those people may not be able/willing to devote a sufficient amount of time towards training fellow members.

Indeed Crazygun is a great Commando, though I'm not sure if he'd be able to teach Commandos. This isn't because he's a bad member, but rather because he may not really know how to sufficiently teach other Commandos.

Still I do agree we need to get equipment for members. I'm considering buying crates of food and PuP's and issuing them out to members during our next guild meeting. I'm hoping that if I get the mentality in their heads that med buffs and ent buffs aren't enough to get by, then they'll start relying on these other equipment.

Granted, I am guilty of not using food and PuP's during the last battle, but I now got some food from Crazygun to help me out. Actually on second though, Crazygun may be able to help people. I guess I'd need to talk to him some more.

Lexx is so indecisive. :D

Yeah, Crazygun's only problem is that he's rather introverted. He's not much of a go-getter, but if you tell him to do something, he'll do it. Before he joined RID, when Kio and I knew him, you asked him if he wanted to do something, and he usually said yes. He wants to help, but he has to be nudged first.
