R.I.D BASE OF OPERATIONS

I just wanted to let you know that I borrowed Tofuball 6 million credits after getting begged for it so he could respec (How the heck do you get up that high? I stiil have 4 free respecs on Owebb and 14 on Chadenn). It's been close to two weeks and I haven't been repaid. If anyone else is getting begged for credits by him I think we may have a problem.

One thing about Cag, he said something very, very, very, very, very inappropriate in group voice with Auren in the group. I really don't want to repeat what was said, but if need be I will let you know via a PM if it is important.

I'm starting to think this is why an age limitation may be in order for new recruits.

What was it that Cag said specifically? I know you wouldn't like to repeat it, but it might help us all if we got a general understanding of what he said.

As for begging, I find it to be detrimental. I don't mind helping others out, especially for low credit amounts, but members may (even if unintentionally) take advantage of other members by begging.

Decra, Tofuballl and Sander' seem to be the most "beggish" members.

In any event, I'll pressure Tofu into paying you back, since that is afterall the right thing to do.

Tofu isn't one you want to loan credits to. Indeed Cag and Sander either. Yah, please just post what he said like Lexx said. IMO we should implement a no-begging rule. Oh, I wouldn't loan to Decra either. He begs a lot.

We were getting ready to attack Axva Min and he said "Let's rape her up the asshole". I talked to Auren today and she said she left group voice after what he said, so I'm pretty sure she was offended by it.

As for the age thing, I'm really not for it or against it. I will say that some of the most immature people I know are adults and alot of underage kids can be very mature: it just depends on the individual. I know from experience that it's really hard to take the time needed to get to know people before inviting them to the guild if you want to keep the active member count up. That's where I fail at recruiting sometimes in that I can be WAY to picky and I have to get to know someone before I would think about recruiting them for membership. That's my two cents.........

I'm guessing he got a little carried away, but it seems like a rising trend where he speaks innapropriately to others in voice chat, and acts rude to others, even if unintentionally.

I understand he gave you a hard time when trying to dock with the ISD? At least that's what Auren told me.

In any case, what does everyone feel we should do about Cag at this time?

I kind of tuned him out after the Axva Min incident, so he could have been ragging me I'm not sure: I would have just blown it off anyway. I know my wife would have been very upset if she would have heard him talking that way, so I'm glad she wasn't there. I really felt embarrased that one of our guild members would talk like that in ANY group. Auren is good people, I would hate for her to be offended by one of our own guild members. I think it was very inappropriate for ANYONE to say stuff like that, let alone a little kid.

Everyone is in RID is an extension of RID and it would be a shame for the guild to have anyone get the idea that that's the way we act. How would anyone feel if someone they socialize with said something like that in front of their mom? Everyone makes mistakes; however, if it's a trend it needs to be nipped in the bud. The worst thing about it is that with people talking in voice there's no record when something like this happens, so there's really no recourse.

You gotta be kidding????? I gave him 6M like last week too for their respec ..... I'm starting to think they just use us as a bank. I don't have any problem to help guildies but they CAN'T think that we are the option to all their problems .....

I would like to know if anyone else gave them credits .....

That's ridiculous, if that's the case it sounds like he's a bold-faced liar and just lining his pockets. Did he really think that people wouldn't find out that several people gave him exorbitant amounts of credits?

So he didn't pay you back either Daiho? I don't think he's lining his pockets, or intentionally cheating anyone, but he may be impulsive in his respec decisions.

Nonetheless, we should advise all members not to go about begging for credits, and advise others not to lend out obscene amounts.

The important thing is to ensure that Tofuballl pays all of you back. I spoke to him about you Owebb, and he has said he wishes to pay you back with credits earned by selling Restuss Commendations. I didn't know about Daiho, so I'll speak to him about that too and make sure he pays back every credit.

I really wish Tofuballl's parents still played SWG. Tofuballl only joined after his father, Phonebook, was in RID. Even his mother played SWG as a member of RID every now and then. Both would put him in check, but now he sort of acts on his own accord.

As for Cag, indeed there's no way to record his conversations. However, I take your word for it as a RID and as a Councilman that you tell the truth about what he says.

Obviously what Cag has said is immature and detrimental to the guild as a whole. So what would be the recommended course of action against him?

There's several actions to choose from:

-Speak to him as a concerned Council
-Forbid him to use voice chat
-Remove him from RID

Auren now refuses to group with Cag, and I have noticed now that several RID's simply leave the guild voice chat (though a better option would be to mute Cag). This isn't healthy, so we need to decide on a solution as a Council rather than resorting to passive aggressiveness.

If a layed-back person like Auren is upset about it enough to refuse to group with him that should be answer enough.

Well, I wouldn't say Auren is a particularly laid-back person, though she is right to be offended by Cag's statements.

She was at a time in a conflict with Bovive due to a lack of understanding.

I leave guild voice all the time because of Cag. My vote is to kick them both. You'll have to suck up the loss of the 6 mil, face it you are not going to get it back. On a side note you can purchase respec kits for about 2 mil

But dont those respec kits bring you back to level 1?

I believe kicking out Cag may be a optimal decision, but I would err on the side of giving Tofuballl a chance to repay his debts. If he fails to do so then removing him may be in order.

Either way, after Tofuballl is removed or he pays his debts, I'll be sending our a directive which instructs members not to "beg" for credits/items worth more than 50,000 credits -- and of course, not to beg consecutively.

For example, going: "Hey, can you guys spare some credits so I can buy this ticket" is more innocent than "can I borrow a few mil for a respec."

I have always noticed that tofu was a prof jumper, and cag has been in the past as well. I think i was in a group with cag (or maybe another kid, they sound the same to me) made an inappropriate remark. I think we should meet with him and see if he can sensor himself. and if wants to have a discussion with other members (aka tofu, and sander) then let them group and use group chat, and leave the guild channel open for guild issues not personal banter.

As for tofu, I think he should be made to repay both daiho, and owebb, and offer an apology as to why it took so much time to repay. and if he refuses the he's gone. There should be a post that begging for credits is prohibited, and credits are given within reason. and not for respecs, but it is up to the individual to decide what they are going to give.

on an other note i think that auren needs an apology from cag about his comment. That is clearly not execeptable and auren is too cool to have to here that. and thats what grinds my gears *puff* *puff*
