Regarding Erougn

I am certainly not filing a complaint, but I want to nip an issue in the bud right now. Here is the story:

Someone asked if anyone had recruiting rights and I said I did, then I logged onto bovive (I was on Jobo). Now I didn't know why they wanted me, but I assumed for an alt, which is all I am willing to invite. Now if you read the in-game mail the invite rights are completely explained. Anyways we ran a DF2 instance and afterward Erougn starts bitching in guild chat that I havn't invited a former purged member back yet. Now this is the first I knew of someone needing an invite. Not that it wasn't said before, but if it was I did not see it. I saw Erougn telling me to invite some guy (forget his name) and I told him to talk to Lexx. Later Erougn starts bitching that I won't invite him and going the patriot route about him being overseas or something. Then he takes the Lord's name in vain referencing me, which I am not religiously against per-say but this is extremely offensive to me directly. Check you in-game mail and you will see more. Frankly I am considering resigning. I'm tired of previous leaders who are obviously immature and rarely play coming on and bitching. And this is right after I went out of my way to craft his Imperial Ace Field Pack!

Please don't resign. I,too, prefer to lean on the side of caution when a former member wants to join back up. I don't know the person and I don't know the circumstances of their departure from the guild. It's these reasons that prompt me to refer them to Lexx. I also don't care for former guild officers telling the current administration what to do. I have no problem with them wanting to help, but don't be pushy with the help. Their input is appreciated, but the fact remains, they are no longer part of this guild.

Thanks Corv, I think you summed up my feelings exactly.

Np, bro. Now Arev is telling me that my recruitment plan excludes players and other classes. This is what's making me bugshit.

Well, we do exempt those serving over seas or serving in time-consuming jobs from purges. Though I do really hate how people keep pulling the, "they're defending your freedom, treat them better than anyone else" approach. As I explained in the mail in-game, it was an oversight on *my* part. I'm not too sure why Erougn is bugging Bovive since he has no backstory as to who Seras is at all. He should have come to me.

Again, as with Arev, it seems as thought it's more of a grudge that you guys have Commanding positions, and they no longer don't. Please don't resign from the position, because you still have my, and most of the guild's support. If others hold a grudge, that's their problem, and they only hurt themselves by trying to rub it off you guys. Next time someone comes across you the wrong way, just tell them Lexx appointed you, and that if you have a problem with the way things are going, talk to him.

I went ahead and wrote a mail this morning about respecting the current leadership. Time well tell if it'll do a trick, but I ask of you to keep doing what you do best, and don't let it get to you. Because in the end, we take action against those who cause too much trouble.

And nice video Tenvik :P

Is Seras the person Erougn was trying to get back into RID? Although it does not excuse Erougn's behavior, Seras and Erougn are old friends and I can confirm that Seras did indeed serve in the military overseas.

Yeah, Seras is the one, and they are indeed close friends.

In any case, I let Erougn know we can welcome back purged members, but he should contact me, not the council, for those sort of things.
