Valkore's RPvP Event Proposal

Post by Lexx Yovel » Fri Jan 01, 2010 6:58 pm

Hey everyone,

Valkore expressed some interest in getting an RPvP event organize at the Light Jedi Enclave location on Yavin. I said it sounded like a cool idea and that we could propose something.

He sent me this mail as a preliminary draft. Personally, I think it needs some work, but I wanted your guys opinions before finalizing anything.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It's time for the Empire to show some might. Sooner or later, there will be an RPvP event at the Light Jedi Enclave on Yavin IV. It will be a role player vs player event.
>
> The Imperial Units -must- outnumber the Rebel Units. It is the height of the Galactic Civil War, and the Jedi count is scarce. However, things can be a bit unfair. So, with higher numbers, professions must be balanced. There should be multiple bounty hunters, few medics, few officers than both, and few commandos than all.

> Since this is an ambush against the Jedi, the "rebels," can only be Jedi. They mave have a few medics to aid, as it would be completely unfair for the Empire to have all of these numbered professions.

> Jedi can obviously have their own lightsabers. It would be nice to see the Jedi uniformed; to see them with apprentice/master robes. It doesn't necessarily have to be equipped, but at least on A-Tab. This also means, no extremely funky hair styles or colors. The rebel medics can be uniformed however they please, so long as they match. Again, A-Tab counts and is preferred.

> Imperials -must- match. It would be excellent to see all Imperial troopers in black Spec Ops armor, but, this isn't the easiest to get. Hopefully, this is planned correctly to see it happen. If creating a new weapon is a hastle, then by all means, stick to what you have. If it isn't, however, please use standard Imperial weapons; E-11s, T-21s, SR Combat pistols, etc. The other acceptable attire for officers are the dress uniforms. Again, simple A-Tab is acceptable. Now, for the challenge. Commandos can only use heavy weapons (most). If there is no other alternative, don't worry about it. Use whatever you can. Rocket Launchers would be preferred. Since the DPS on these bastards are obscene, we'll have to keep the count down to 3 or 5 depending on the units.

> Now I'm no PvP specialist. So this should be discussed and reviewed a lot to balance the fight. If it means balancing the numbers, so be it.

> In Character is dangerous. If you -don't- want your character killed, display LFG so we know that this is a generic Jedi. If you don't care, neither do we. Same goes for the Empire. Mercenaries will be deployed; IE, my character will be equipped with Mandalorian Armor. IMO, mercenaries who are trusted/experienced should take lead; they're expendable and their leadership will be passed down to the highers Imperial officer. Since the Jedi are force sensitive, technically they could detect us Imperials. So, IC, we'd have to devise a plan to cover our tracks. More will be discussed later.

I raised a few issues with it which I sent him in a PM. I like the concept, I'm not sure about the entire feasibility of it (mass Imperials against a few Jedi and Medics leads to RP drama, something I've been trying very hard to keep RID RPers away from).

Although, Valkore agreed to hold off on his event, in exchange for helping me with this event.

I want to add one thing about Valkore ...

He like to give pressure from events or RP stuff etc etc .. but when he is in something 75% of the time he leaves for no reason. Poof .. he logs off. He did that a lot to me .. he was asking me to do heroics and i acccepted and before we start .. he leave .

Just a warning

I've noticed that a few times.

(And, Red, this is why I don't him taking over as #2 in Fort Keen. He's a nice guy, but hasn't shown to be very reliable...yet.)
