Hey anyone still around here?
Got waiver approval for National Guard. Going in as 19D/Scout. I'm on a waiting list though. Hopefully i'll be at OSUT later this summer! Can't wait!

oh i mean the survival rate of scouts. not that it matters much, i might have signed for 19k anyway...which is M1 armor crewmember.

I know that feeling, but hope you are 19K and not 19D. I was 31U(Communications), which the army changed to 25U(Communications), meaning I go to what ever unit needs a commo guy in it. I seen all the crap combat arms does, scouts and fisters are basicly the same thing and I have no love loss in missing out on those jobs.

dropped off the list, swearing in on wednesday if all goes well!!
and it is scout. i'm sure i'll be fine though...going to see if i can get accepted into rotc.

That's what all enlisted say about you soon to be butter bars, just don't tell your Drill Sergeants that you plan on being one or they will have a field day with you. Then again, they stopped all the yelling and swearig I heard when I first joined back in 1995. GL and have fun.

Well that's no suprise here, if they meet their quota then some times they forget they still have others trying to get in. I know because I was recruited in Charlotte, NC and they did the same to me.
