Today is Patriot Day. Please have your flags at half-staff, and thank your servicemen, police, firemen, and all those who serve in defending this Country for their dedication and sacrifices!
Most importantly, let us be mindful of the sacrifices borne by those during the dastardly attacks over American soil eight years ago:

Nice arev. I was driving by a McDonald's today, and their flag was at full-mast, with huge frayed edges. I just wrote them an email telling them how pathetic it was.
But yeah, we should all take some time out of our day to remember all those who lost their lives. God Bless the USA.

The flag in the stadium at my school was at full mast tonight, but the flag is huge and the pole isn't very tall so the flag would have hit the ground had it been at half mast. What would have been the best thing to do with that? Other than think before putting up a pole that short.
