Im trying to use one in game and it isnt working

I will take a picture of it tonight but the microphone i have has the same phono plug (i think i need) but its from my mobile phone accessory pack :D
The IT people told me it should work in the microphone socket thing ...they tell liez

Excuse my description but i have put the phono silvery bit of the microphone lead in the pink microphone hole on my sound card area on the back of my computer but the option is grey in the sound options for a microphone ?

Is it because i have a mobile phone microphone and not a computer one ?

Where can i buy a cheap microphone that will deliver to the UK that works in my computer properly ?

Try Amazon. I know I rely on them for most of my gift-giving purchases. :D

Or you could buy one for the Playstation 2. thats what I did. roughly $20USD
