i sat in mos eisley cantina and chatted to an american person last night whose character name in game is bussahot. (he wears mandalorian armor and it stands out a bit because it is yellow)
Well we must have chatted for two hours about wierdisms or phrases that the British and American people use ---there was much laughter :P

Im going to post a few but can i ask members to post phrases that are used near them (where they live) that are funny.

Here are a few of mine

"If you got any thinner you'd have one eye" - this phrase was spoken to me by a irish van driver we have at work that delivers the work jobs to our works customers , i didn't know whether to feel flattered or offended at the time he said it ?

"you are about as much use as a solar powered foghorn" - this was said to me by my dad recently when i went round to his house and ironed a iron mark into his shirt while chatting to him and doing his ironing.

He has also used the phrase "you are as much use as pockets in underpants" when he asked me to hold a spare wheel (while changing it) when i was younger and i managed to loose hold of it and it rolled into the road ooooops lol

"its wetter out here than a otters pocket" - this was said to me by my dad when we got caught in rain in town recently

post away yours lol

if you make me laugh i have something really greeat to post on the forum.

I look at people weird when they describe a Bubbler as a Water Fountain. Come on! Water Fountains are in parks with little chubby cupids on top of them. You drink from a bubbler!

"It's hotter than a 2 d**ked billy goat in a herd of sheep" is pretty common here in South Louisiana...mostly cause it usually is that hot. And yes, I edited the words myself, no need to have forums do EVERYTHING for me eh?

people in the uk say that too
the even wierder part of it all is, if i ask people at work if they want a drink fetching from the shop they will say
"yeah just get me a can of pop"
but pop stands for any carbonated drink so i then have to ask what type of pop they want (coke cherry coke pepsi ect) crazyiness....

and completely around the houses just to get to what they want in the first place lol duuuur

i will post my funny thing in this post on monday

It's all coke. Doesn't matter if it's Pepsi, Dr. Pepper, Sprite or Coca-Cola. 'Round here it's just coke.
