R.I.D BASE OF OPERATIONS

It finally happened. For almost five and a half years, I've been trying very hard to do it. Thankfully, Valara was more than willing to assist.

I am, of course, talking about changing my forum handle. When I picked up the game on June 27, 2003 from the Miles City, Montana Wal-Mart at approximately 8 pm, I went to register the game. I clicked on "Create New Account". Little did I know that my old forum account (on the old SWG boards pre-launch) also doubled as my account information. So, when I read that someone already registered JekRendar, I shrugged and created JekRendar2. Of course, this (by default) became my forum handle.

Ironically when I created my second account, I tested out JekRendar with the old password and it worked. So, today, I PM'd Valara and asked her kindly if she could swap the names, and she did. I hated that '2' - but it's finally gone, and I'm happy!

Anyways, just thought I'd share that if you ever have any forum issues over there, send Valara a friendly PM.

that is awesome!!! i wish they'd take the apostrophe out of kioet'. pisses me off so bad it was a simple mistake that they won't fix. BASTARDS!!!!

Well, I'm only talking about the Forum handle. Although, I'm told you're allowed one name change per account. So, if you submitted a ticket, you may get it fixed. But, with the FCTS around the corner, don't count on it as I'm sure they'll be flooded with tickets very soon.

i submitted a ticket and they were like 'durr there's already another user with that name' well duh cause i thought i messed up on character creation and wanted to just delete and redo it, figured it would delete the name from the database on doing that...
