My fiance is listening to a host of crappy love songs to play at our wedding...

Please make the pain stop...

These aren't even songs for at the reception, but for the ceremony...

Again, please make the pain stop...

Why can't we just let the organist play the big beautiful pipe organ in the big 150+ year old church??? Why must this be complicated...

Please make the pain stop...

Seriously, if I'm gonna be forced to listen to Enya or Mariah Carey during our wedding ceremony, I'm handcuffing the woman to my wrist and dragging her to Las Vegas. I'd rather have Elvis marry us!!!

GH4 is based on Aerosmith, not GH3. You'll probably see around as much Aerosmith as you see Slash in GH3 though, so it won't be too ridiculous, aside from some shameless cover art.

Hey Kurke, what do you think of Mass Effect thus far?

I got a real guitar for Christmas and my girlfriend's mother(who hates me) bought me guitar hero III. I just need to find some way to get it from my girlfriend.

So far, Mass Effect is friggin' amazing! There are a few flaws with it. The explorable planets are a little "rubber stamped" in terms of geography, but the stories composing those side quests are quite interesting. There are also some slight graphical flaws (bad texture load times and some screen tearing). But, given the scope of the rest of the game, the flaws are easily forgiveable. The main story is amazing. I'm about one planet short of completing the main story line and I've been impressed ever since I purchased the game. It is secretly addictive as it will be pulling at you before you realize it. It does incorporate some nice third-person shooter combat into a western RPG. Right now, I am pushing at about 40 hours and will probably be slightly over that after completion. Keep in mind I've done about every side quest I can find, so the main story is going to run you 15 to 20 hours by itself. The voice acting is amazing as well as the music. The graphics are running on the Unreal III engine, so it is very pretty. (Given the amount of games using the engine, I'm a little surprised there are the graphics glitches that there are... Shows that a little more development time would have fixed that, but why miss the holiday season...)

The nice thing is that it is no beast like Oblivion. As a first person shooter fan who has a severe distaste for most RPGs, I found Oblivion too epic and large for my tastes. Mass Effect is much more my speed. There is combat, magic, excellent story, and a whole lot of dialogue. It was well worth the investment on my part. I highly recommend giving it a try. If you aren't a RPG fan, you may want to rent it to get a feel for it, but you'll still need to purchase/rent repeatedly/GameFly to complete the game.

I give it a 9.5/10.

Hey, he asked for my opinion of it. :P

Right now I'm just trying to beat Mass Effect because I have Assassin's Creed waiting for me (Christmas gift) and I just ordered Rock Band, so that will arrive in like a week or so.
