I find that LCDs die quicker than normal monitors too.

you wouldn't but if you have young siblings or children they might. If you run your finger across the monitor it makes a ripple like your running across a liquid.

My cousin thought it would be fun to draw a picture on my moniter using one of those compuses with the sharp point on one side and the pencil on the other

It is a 20" LG monitor. It has a 2000:1 contrast ratio and a 5ms response time. I've read quite a few good comments about it so far. I'm probably gong to buy it tonight. I'll let you all know how nice it is. Yes, it may be unnecessary, but this is how I spoil myself. Other people my age pimp their rides, I pimp my PC...

I do have light bars running down the front of my computer as well as two neon lights inside and four blue led fans inside... Still, my case is a POS. I mean, it's cool but I need to invest a little more money in my next case.

My 22 year old brother did that with my wall.... pencil doesn't come off wallpaper appearantly.
