The thing that I'm most hesitant towards about the game is that you have to switch to a monster to pvp. I'd much rather do it SWG style and always be controlling my character through pve-pvp-and non-combat. I don't want to have to enter a whole seperate instance to pvp. Kinda takes me out of the game.

you don't have to switch to a monster, only the 'bad' guys do. Which is really a deterrent to be on underdog side. I would not have been imperial if I had to turn into cannon fodder to pvp.

My friend purchased the game yesterday, so you will be getting the buddy key.

In case anyone is wondering, my character's name is Aumway on the Brandywine server.

Sent via PM.

Also, my friend who purchased the game also has a buddy key. I'm not sure if he is giving it to anyone, but if anyone else here is interested, I'l see if my friend will part with it.

So, if any RID or ex-RID peeps start playing LOTRO, can I form a RID kinship in-game (LOTRO's version of a guild)? I need six people and my friend definitely wants in.

I'm doing so well not getting sucked into an MMO. I'm not sure if I should subscribe this summer or not. I guess I'll have to see how productive I am without an MMO first.

Turbine has given current users of LOTRO an additional Buddy Key for distribution. So, if anyone is interested in my second buddy key, please let me know. Only request the buddy key if you are seriously interested in giving the game a try.

Kurke i don't think Lotro is for me. I guess i got too used to swg's FPS style that i don't enjoy regular MMORPG anymore, although it seems pretty fun if u like games like that. grinding isnt as boring as SWG and the spatial was weird lol used to bubbles over characters :o thanx for the key tho

I hear there is a user interface upgrade coming in the content update on the 13th. Plus, you only got your toon to lvl 3 I believe. Gotta get out an about and lvl up my friend!!! hehehe

If there is anyone else still interested, I can probably get my friend's buddy key. So, let me know.
