Everquest 1, Live, whatever you want to call it is going to be opening a new server come June. its called a Progression Server. The news is out about it, but they still haven't done the story on their main website as the link from MMORPG.com suggests.

I think its a good idea, unless they make you pay for each expansion as you get there.

Well, yea? You have to buy all the expansions on a normal server, I had to buy Everquest Titanium package to get all caught up to just before Proph of Ro.

I think its a neat idea. If I didn't already own the game, I would have a problem with having to buy each expansion as I unlock it hough.

If you didn't already own the game, you would have to buy all the expansions to play the game on any current server anyway. I fail to see the complaint.

I wasn't bitching.. I don't plan to play EQ, was stating that if I had to pay $20 for the original game and then $20 for each expansion, I might be a bit upset.

I do like the concept.

LOl what, open with pre-CU, then switch to CU then switch to NGE?

What they should do with Galaxies is delete the damn thing and just start over fresh. Which is what they pretty much did anyway, so /shrug. I just wish they'd use a different Engine, I hate the one they use.

I'd be down with that. Star Wars games should all be FPS, its a shooter genre, not swords and sorcery.
