We're working on a system that will prevent spec'ing to master trader or entertainer. If you're CL45 and you respec to entertainer/trader you should end up somewhere around the middle of the wheel - o - fun. That's the plan. Spec'ing from trader/entertainer to a combat profession will make you whatever highest combat level you've ever had with that character.
While I realize that this doesn't address the issue of not being able to spec out of master trader/entertainer into a master combat profession if you've never been a combat profession before, it does address the primary concern of marginalizing the trader and entertainer professions by allowing everyone to master them for free.
We're looking for time in the next publish to solve the problem completely. Right now there is a lot of disparity between trader/entertainer and the rest of the professions, starting with the fact that those two professions don't have the concept of "level". We're looking at ways to address this without changing the fundamental play styles of those professions. For now, however, the imminent problem of being able to spec to master entertainer and trader will be solved for publish 28.
